Robert Pattinson to Play Kurt Cobain in Biopic?

Robert PattinsonROBERT Pattinson is set to play a rock star in his next movie role — the hunky British actor has been lined up to play Kurt Cobain in a Hollywood biopic about the tragic Nirvana frontman.

Rob, 23, has apparently been in regular contact with Kurt’s crazy widow Courtney Love, who has been handed a key role in the production by bosses at Universal Pictures.

The Hole singer wanted the Twilight star as Kurt and screen siren Scarlett Johansson to portray her.

“This is a big money deal for Courtney,” a source told British newspaper The Sun.

“She has agreed to the film on condition that she gets to decide the main aspects of the project including director, casting, screenplay and music.

“Robert has been calling and emailing her non-stop. She has been a bit wound up by his manners, but he is her number one choice to play Kurt.

“She is adamant Scarlett will play her. Scarlett is friendly with Frances Bean, her daughter with Kurt.”

Courtney has been in touch with director David Fincher about the project, which has the working title All Apologies.

That or she just wants to sink her talons into “pretty boy” Its one thing for him to play a glittering vamp but damn leave it there. Wrong just wrong. I have been waiting for this Biopic and here we are with other wrong casting!I mean c’mon! That would be like having Timberlake playing Trent Raznor!

    TDG – I believe they are together also. I’m just not sure why it seems every man associated with shrew has to be top secret. I get that she is private, but the shitstorm created over her has gotten ridiculous. Guess she doesn’t care that there are people at eachothers throats over speculations surrounding her.         TDG I saw the video of KS leaving the Met gala and I have to agree that lady with her definetly looks like MA’s mom. I was wondering when I saw the video if that was KS’s mom, but now I know. Good work.

        I also went on eonline, don’t ask why I wanted to know if RP was at Oprah and I refuse to go back it just makes me feel very anxious and I don’t need that crap in my life. So if anyone sees or hears of any photos of RP in chicago let me know.

        I did read on Imdb that they were singing happy bd to him so I’m assuming he is there. I’m thinking he flew in late last night and will fly right out after filming since oprah films at 9:00 a.m and then another show at 1:00 p.m

        Katie, I’m sure from the images I’ve seen on many gossip sites of K-Stew arriving at the 2010 MET Gala Ball she didn’t have any personal assistants or security with her on the red carpet or walking in & guests of the female celebrities in those gowns were allowed to use the red carpet entrance too & maybe Doreen Arangano simply gave K-Stew a hand as that ugly gown she had on looks quite awkward to move around in & the same goes for those stilettos & you’ve got to remember that she wears mostly jeans, t-shirts & sneakers so this outfit might have been a bit out of her league too.         Ah, but don’t let that happen. Things are tuff all over around here. Especially in education. Schools are closing all over the place. Leaves a pretty competitive job market I would imagine.

        Yeah, its been a long 5 years of substitute teaching. The market fell through the year I graduated from college with History honors and 6 weeks attending at Oxford Univ UK, doesn’t help much when people are laying off and not hiring. Now I’m worried that I will never fulfill my dream.

        The year before I graduated everyone in that year got a teaching job. The year I graduated only 1 person got a teaching job.

      I’ve watched the link and compared it with the pics of MA’s mom in his site. It’s hard to tell if they are the same person since the distance between the camera and them, they did look alike. But the woman in the video seemed younger than the pics in MA’s site, so I have no idea.

      I just don’t understand why they don’t hire a different SCREEN WRITTER? They want to continue blaming the directors for the crap on screen, but if the script sucks with bad dialog and doesn’t follow the books, that is the fault of the person interpreting the story. Steven Spielberg himself couldn’t make those movies any less of a cheese fest. I just find it hard to believe that SM appoves the script, but then wants to step all over the directors feet. This is going to be bad ladies! All kinds of ego’s fighting for creative control, with a story that will be difficult, at best, to translate to the big screen in the first place.

        Thank you. Thats sweet. My main concern is getting to my mother. It was my 96 year old grandmother. She lived a full life and was working in her flower beds yesterday morning healthy as a me. But she went peacefully in her sleep.

      I was a mama’s girl too. It was the worst day of my life when I lost my mom. I know what you are going through. Hand in there, it does get easier, only time can heal that wound. Still, for me, there is not a day that goes by that I don’t want to pick up the phone to call and tell her about something. I is rough, to be sure.

      My mom is dealing with depression because of the loss of her mother last year.She is going better though.It hits her again all the time when christmas time arrives unfortunately.My mom also feels bad that she didn’t spend more time with her mom last couple of years of her life.My mom tried to get her to move to where she lives but could never talk her into it because my grandmother thought it would be a disrespect to my grandfather to sell those beautiful house that they worked so hard to be able to buy.

      how is your therapy going? i am receiving counselling myself, so much has happened in my past, and the grandmother i lived with for 15 years, she was like a 2nd mother to me, and she passed away 5 years ago with a stroke. its so hard to come to terms with some things, ot wasnt just her death, so many other things have happnened too.

      i just hope your therapist is helping and you find some inner peace…xxx

Niekema Hudson, who Tweeted the majority of the events last night and today, told us in a phone interview that despite Oprah’s yes-or-no question, Rob and Kristen still managed to avoid answering it.

    You know I’m reading nonsten right now and someone had a very good point.

    When Rob was filming Bel Ami, a nonSummit film there was not robsten. But right on the last day of Bel Ami’s filming KS and her manager showed up and all hell broke lose once again, which we hear from Kristen Sweet that was a pr stunt by Summit from her contacts.

    Well know nonsten is saying maybe while RP is filming WFE again a nonSummit film there won’t be so much robsten stunts except during the Eclipse promos, but RP is really not doing very much of them.

I’m not sure if you have seen but our regular Kristen Sweet here on Showbiz Spy was right by saying her MR (Mister Reliable) said that Summit Entertainment were about to start up this so called Robsten publicity stunt again only weeks before the Twilight Saga: Eclipse comes out in the picture theatres on 30th June 2010 & I’m sure they’re in full on damage control & cover up mode after the truth came out that neither RPatz or K-Stew were hanging out on their downtime or staying in the same luxury hotel together when they along with co-star Taylor Lautner were in Vancouver, British Columbia last week doing those re-shoots for the upcoming Twilight Saga: Eclipse & they (the studio) know someone has hinted (by Kristen Sweet) they’ve got images of RPatz & a mystery blonde hanging out & maybe getting all loved up there & will sell it to the highest bidder (gossip site or gossip magazine) to prove not only so called Robsten isn’t true but the fans have been lied to by the studio too & I’ve seen they’ve (the studio) have done yet another photographic oppertunity at LAX yesterday (see Robert Pattinson Life) & I’m sure if it’s true they’re really dating both RPatz & K-Stew would’ve been all loved up in these images but no she is walking ahead of him with both of her hands in her jean pockets & not smiling as per usual & she has dyed her hair again back to brown too.       Kristen Sweet, I’m sure that what you put up here on Showbiz Spy last week regarding your MR (Mister Reliable) & those images of the mystery blonde have simply got Summit Entertainment the studio behind the Twilight Saga very worried as I’ve seen that many people on other gossip sites & gossip magazine sites seem to have been agreeing with you too & you did say they’ll be doing the same old so called Robsten publicity stunt thing again before the upcoming Twilight Saga: Eclipse comes out in the picture theatres on 30th June 2010 & now it seems that everything is falling into place as you did say & thankyou for chatting to us regulars here on Showbiz Spy & becoming a valued one too as your logic is too good & it’s true.
