Simon Cowell ‘Thinks Kara DioGuardi is Desperate’

American IdolSIMON Cowell isn’t impressed with Kara DioGuardi‘s naked picture shoot with Allure magazine.

The music mogul thinks his fellow American Idol judge’s flesh-baring actions are a little “desperate”.

“Everything is just a little odd this year,” said one Idol insider.

“The whole equilibrium of the show has been thrown off by Paula Abdul leaving, Ellen DeGeneres joining and Simon announcing this is his last year.

“Kara is ambitious and sees this as her moment to turn up the heat.

“She thinks this is her time to set up her game even if Simon thinks it’s a bit desperate.”

    Definitely agree. With Paula gone, Ellen there, and Simon leaving, the whole chemistry and vibe of the show is completely disrupted. Idol needs to do be fixed by doing a 360; do everything possible to get Simon to stay, Paula to come back, and to dismiss Ellen and Kara. The show should go back to its roots, and the original judging panel of Simon, Paula, and Randy. Ratings will skyrocket and defecting viewers will return in droves.

      i agree. i love ellen but shes just no suited for this role. and i cant stand kara….shes always flirting with simon and its a bit too much…enough to make me want her off the show. come back paula, we will watch if you will come.

    Say what you want about Paula. But, the show is empty without her. It lacks heart and that is what she gave the show. Paula was fun, perky, full of energy and often encouraging to the contestants. The show SUCKS big time without her!!

    Kara is a big fat PHONY!!! She talks about the contestans not knowing who they are as an artist. Well, she doesn’t seem to know her place as a judge. It is amazing how much attention she tries to draw to herself.

    Kara is an idiot who never fit in. She was never good at being a judge and she never will be. Since her stint on Idol is not working well, she thinks she needs to pose naked. WTF!!! Get lost Kara. And I agree with Simon, she is desperate.

    With Paula gone the show sucks bigtime!

    Oh lay off Kara. Let her have some ambition for goodness sake. She knows her place as a judge and she judges fairly and honestly week in week out with a knowledge that none of the others on the panel can match.

    She’s not desperate. She fought her demons when she was younger and is now happy and in tune with herself. The naked shot is beautiful. It wasn’t meant to be playboy style. It’s tasteful and goes with the subject matter of the magazine. Kara looks great and you can’t deny it!

    As for phony. Not a chance! With Kara what you see is what you get. She’s caring and nurturing and genuine. I had the honour of spending time with her last week and I have to say she is adorable, so humble, sweet and funny.
    And for the record, it is her time to set up game. Go for it Kara!

    OMG Kara is so amazing and she makes the show SO much better! I SWEAR whoever is saying she is a “phony” and she needs to “get lost” needs to shut up because you dont know what your talking about! AND FYI Kara is NOT an Idiot and shes NOT desperate! Whoever says that should go jump off a cliff! Stupid Idiots! KARA IS AMAZING! HATERS SHUT UP OR GET LOST!

    I think the past few seasons of Idol have been a disaster anyway. MOST of the chosen contestants were boring.
    The ONLY reason I watched was Simon. I adore him and his contribution to the show. People can say what they will..”he is mean”, etc but he was right and he said out loud what only others would THINK but were dying to say.
    If the contestants were so sensitive to HIM then they never would have made it in the industry anyway. He was a pussycat compared to what they would be up against doing music as their career!
    Anyway, I am done with Idol. Ryan is cocky and not that great at his job, he seems bored..Randy isn’t even constructive anymore, he says the same things over and over, I actually liked Kara but did not like the chemistry of her AND Ellen. Ellen didn’t have any business being there and she is smart enough to know it.
    I think Harry Connick was the best thing that ever happened to that show and HE would be an incredible asset to that show and to the contestants. I LOVED that he totally called the judges out on using the word pitchy! LOL!!! LOVED IT!!!! I can’t even think of who, as judges, would get me to watch the show again. Madonna, Harry Connick, Celine Dion, Jon Bon Jovi, maybe…

    The wide differences in opinion just shows that there needs to be a good balance of styles and expertise (as long as it is in the music and entertainment arena, not just as a comedian). To me, Kara was a breath of fresh air after all the years with just the three judges. Paula was a bit goofy, but added needed compassion to the show. Simon says what many people think about the contestants but wouldn’t say to their face – a bit harsh, but honest, and mostly I agreed with his perspective.

    I’m amazed at all the “Experts” who know EXACTLY what the show needs, and think they are the only ones whose opinion counts.

    I am not unhappy to see Kara gone from Idol. Ellen was fun but she’s right – it is just not a good “fit”. The one thing I would love to see is the Producers firing Randy if he ever says “Dawg” or “Check it out” again. That would be a huge improvment in the show. I really wish the panel were Bret Michaels, Harry Connick, and Jennifer Lopez…Now that would be some real professionals who know their stuff. I will not miss Kara one bit, but I will miss Simon terribly. He IS/WAS AI. There will never be another like him.

    I really hate the choice of judges, even Randy with his dawg, dawg, dawg. Don’t like JLo and don’t like Steve Tyler. So now what? Stop watching…..
