Robert Pattinson Won’t Behave Like a Diva

Robert PattinsonROBERT Pattinson insists he’s too “down to earth” to start behaving like a superstar.

The sexy British actor — who shot to fame playing vampire Edward Cullen in the Twilight movie franchise — says he doesn’t make crazy demands, although he insists on having his own private chauffeur because he’s a terrible driver.

“I love throwing things around in my hotel room haha,” Rob joked. “No, seriously, I think I’ve stayed pretty normal, I am much to down to earth to make crazy demands. Well, except for a private chauffeur, but that is only because I am a disaster on the road and others even forbid me to drive.”

Pattinson says it’s “a bit overwhelming” to be Hollywood’s most wanted actor.

“At this moment it is too much, everywhere I go, girls are screaming or fainting,” he said. “I don’t understand why, because I am a normal guy who is not at all doing his best to be noticed. And really; I’m not as sexy as Brad Pitt?”

Rob, 23, recently blasted rumors he’s engaged to his Twilight costar Kristen Stewart.

“This engagement thing is total bullshit, I don’t even know where it comes from,” he said earlier this month. “Kristen is my friend, I really like to work with her. She’s more mature than her age, a real professional, I couldn’t wish a better partner, because she makes my every move, every sentence authentic.

“A big franchise like Twilight is a scary thing, because it put me on the map and I’ll have it for my whole life. So it’s important to get along with my partner, and Kristen is the perfect partner. She sets the bar high, so I must deliver too.

“My only weapon for self-defense is to not care about the rumors. I concentrate on my work and on the positive sides of fame. You can’t even imagine how big it is that I don’t have to go to castings anymore. They are the worst. Especially when you don’t get the job in the end. Now I have lots of people around me, looking out for me, asking me if the script is ok with me. People say hi to me, smile at me on the street, come up to me to shake my hand. Lots of people stop me just to congratulate. That’s when I realize that there are so many good, nice, normal people. And they are the majority.”

    I really hope he stays that way- just normal and down to earth- i really hope hollywood never changes him! though he seemed to drive pretty well last year in LA – and he bought a new green porsche for himself!! im sure his driving isnt that bad lol!! :)

      Probable hsi driving is good on a sober day. Can you imagine him driving when he drinks one to many pints of beer? That’s why others forbid him to drive.

      @applepie-I disagree with your statement.KS and RP are everyday people like you and me but they choose to be an actor/actress as their profession.Being and actress/actor does not give you the right to think you are better than everyone else when you are not.People might think her dropping her award is cute when she is a teenager but when she gets to 28,29 or 30 and she is still dropping awards,stuttering on stage in front of her peers and not wearing the proper shoes to go with a designer dress is not cute anymore.If she doesn’t start to behave, hollywood will start avoiding her like she has the plaque because she is bringing a bad image to the industry.There are plenty of young actress coming up behind her that will be willing to take her place if she doesn’t watch her step.

        Looks, like today will be sunny. :D Yesterday not so much. Unseasonably nice weather for this time of year, but we had an awful winter. I’m in Illinois, but right across the river from St. Louis. I’ve been to Ireland. I love it there! Took the ferry from Holyhead into Dublin and the train up into N. Ireland. The BEST vacation of my life! Where in the country are you?

        D-Since you have a four day weekend ahead of you,you will be able to get alot done on your house or you and S gan go on short little vacation somewhere to get away for the weekend.

        On the decorating thing,my dad doesn’t care what my mom does as long as he doesn’t have to help more than a little ,for all he cares she can tear down the old house and have a new one built as long as he doesnt have to help.He’ll go to the store and buy the supplies for remodeling but other than that he’ll act like he has to go do something in the garage instead.He has even volunteered once to go grocery shoping one weekend when she wanted to go look at paint and color schemes.

    D- really lol? aw well im glad you enjoyed ur holiday, but i hate living here with a passion!! its not a good place- maybe visitors appreciate it but not if you are living here- id say you are vert blessed and lucky to live in the US- i really want to move there- do you know how i can go about it? ive educated to honours degree and diploma level- i just have no ties here and want to make a fresh start. Id love to live in new york or LA- must be really exciting!! is it a big place where you are? plenty to do etc? :) btw im near Belfast ..

      Ashleigh – Belfast was one of my favorites! It is so absolutely beautiful! I understand why it would be different through the eyes of a vistor. But the folks were so incredibly kind and the scenery was breathtaking. The city I live near, is plenty active. We have 3 professional sport teams and a few college rivalries. :) I would also love to live in LA or NYC, but I’ve never been to either city. US is a big place. We have our problems here, too. I would say come visit and check it out for yourself. Maybe the big city hustle and bustle would suit you or maybe you would prefer a city of a smaller size. Each State has something different to offer. I suppose a bit like Europe, when traveling from country to country. It’s kind of the same here state to state. Expect, we all speak the same language and have the same laws, etc. If you are wanting to make a fresh start, I would suggest researching things on the internet. Different cities and states, and find one that would suit your lifestyle and what you are looking for. I wouldn’t go for a huge culture shock at first, if you live countryside now, I wouldn’t suggest Manhattan – as the difference would be VAST. There really are a lot of beautiful places here. I would suggest anywhere south if you are looking to get away from the rain and Florida would be the place to be for a ton of sunshine. ;) Texas is nice too. lol But, they kind of consider themselves their own little (big) country within the US.
