Whatever amount of respect I had for him..I just lost it. Look at him! pretending he is so superior to other actors. “I’m not like THOSE actors, I’m the guy who does it because he loves the ART FORM” Hes just another one of these pretentious actors who reach out to pretentious people who hate mainstream famous celebrities (though he did costar with one…) Just the way he blatantly says he doesn’t care about fame makes me suspect otherwise.

I don’t know if he’s gay, and don’t care. He was a lackluster vampire compared to Kyle Schmid’s Henry Fitzroy (slept in a freezer) and he just doesn’t have the ‘it’ factor. So, gay or not, good thing he doesn’t want to be J. Lo famous.

LOL! Alex’s son would probably like to punch you out for saying his dad is gay! Alex was with Holly Valance (fellow Aussie, actress) for at least 4 years–she even starred in an episode of Moonlight with him! But she’s in Australia, he’s got other things on his full plate, like this movie and shooting “Hawaii 5-0″ in–Hawaii! Busy guy! And ALWAYS SOOOOOO nice to his fans! He’s so humble and sweet–we all love him. Look at some of his older work, like “The Oyster Farmer” (one of my fav movie love scenes!)and the tear-jerking “The Incredible Journey of Mary Bryant” as well as his work on “The Shield” and his horror film, “Feed!” Wow. But of all of them, “Moonlight” had the charm and sensitivity to really show off Alex’s talent. He will be a BIG star one day. He’s too great not to be! Ask all of us VampSisters–Alex O is the BEST! We love you Alex! Keep up the good work!

Well my goodness!! LOL!! Now it is official. Alex has hit the big time. He has bashers!! The majority overwhelmingly agree he is talented, dedicated, humble, extremely gorgeous and an allround nice guy. Then there are the bashers, the negative dwellers who thrive on finding awful things to say and dont care if its true or not. Just being nasty and negative makes their day. I have watched Alex do interviews, autograph sessions, fans walking up to him as he’s going about his business and I have never seen him grow impatient, rude, or arrogant. Quite the contrary, he appears shy and humble on the interviews, gracious and giving durring the autograph sessions with loads of patience and quite friendly and accomodating when approached casually. In one instance a fan got on the set of Three Rivers. She waited in the background til she saw him walking alone. She called him, he went immediately over to her, greeted her, took her hand, had a small conversation and agreed to pose with her for a pic. Now if that’s not being a wonderfully kind, down to earth and unassuming guy, I dont know what else you would call it. And as for Three Rivers, it premiered Oct 4th, 2009 and CBS summarily canceled it Dec 4th, 2009. I dont know why they even bothered or spent the money to produce it. But I think they saw Alex is more of an action star and Three Rivers was a bit cerebral and his talents werent being used to their full potential. Moonlight was his break-out role. That’s was the vehicle that started his ascent and it is an unforgettable show mainly because of him. I surely hope we can get a movie or a continuation of the series because I believe CBS cancelled that show prematurely and with the success of vamp shows, movies and vamps in general, they made a MONUMENTAl mistake.

Alex is NOT gay if anyone did their research he has a kid in Australia! If these idiot can’t come on her & say something mature that makes sense WHY do they come on at all? They’re probably shut ins with no outside life or job probably!

What is it about people when they see a nice person he is automatically gay! Buy the way I have been a fan Of Alex for a long time now. I went to see the backup plan ONLY for him. I knew that J-Lo was not a great actor and that the film wouldn’t be a great success because everyone knows she can’t act! I think that he carried the film when in parts it would have fallen flat with out him! Talk about people who use others for fame J- lo’s rise was based on the men she was with. She dated to make her name we all know it. Therefore, she is no different from the other lack luster talent that graces our screens and mags now days. She should feel lucky that he was willing to be in the film with her!

He has real talent she has a name, a brand that is it! Everyone knows her film work is for crap! Teens like her film that’s it. So watch what you say about Alex because he is the real deal and she should have let him do what he does best so the show could have done better. Alex is the type of actor we all need to watch he has old school talent and people cannot see it because they spend too much time thinking all the junk reality shows have “talent” on them!

He is a great looking kisser but thanks to J-lo, we were unable to see that in this film. He was able to cry on cue and she could only quiver her bottom lip…trying to cry! He made it real by allowing tears to fill his eyes! He has talent! I cannot believe he is placed with some one like her and he is the one being looked at poorly. By people calling him Gay and saying he is fake. Would you say this crap about J-Lo? She freaking sucks! I hope he never has to work with her again!

By the way, for those of you saying stupid shit about him…..Why were you looking him up on yahoo anyway? You must have seen something that you liked! My husband and I are in our 50′s. We went to see The Back Up Plan and we laugh so much, It was the best ten dollars we spent in a long time. I hope that CBS picks up Five-O, what a good actor he is. If you go see a movie and you like it then its a good movie and I don’t care what people say.

BTW….he isn’t gay as I watched from a distance while he consistantly flirted and put the moves on a co-starlet….SOOOOO NOT GAY!

I just want to decrease a thoughts and say I’m a newcomer to your site and love a few things I am looking at. Published great written content. Count on returning for more.

Like the previous poster, I stumbled across this blog almost by accident (I say *almost*, I mean, it’s not like I was googling the guy… or anything…) and it’s quite amazing the stuff people want to put out there.

It’s been lovely to hear the support, surprising but not to hear the haters. I still don’t get why it should matter who Alex has sex or relationships with. He doesn’t make my gaydar twitch, and it’s normally fairly reliable but the only reason I’d be upset if he *were* gay is that I’d officially have less of a chance with him than I do. Which is between slim and none as it is LOL

I’d love to see him on Inside the Actor’s Studio with James Lipton. It would be a fascinating interview that was almost completely devoid of any drool factor. From everything I’ve read and heard, Alex is someone who is passionate, and I mean PASSIONATE about the craft and although I’m sure like most actors, he adores the recognition of his performances and the validation that he’s liked, I don’t honestly think that fame for its own sake was ever what he was after. He’s very serious, very talented and should be lauded for that alone. He’s an entertaining and fun person (when he wants to be) could quite possibly have bouts of self-doubt and melancholy even though he has a great deal of confidence in his ability and I can completely believe setmedic that he’s a flirt. Although I do wonder if the person he was putting the moves on was his girlfriend who played Lola in Moonlight!

I just saw a very sweet picture of him saying goodbye at LAX in January to his then girlfriend (no idea if they’re still together) Amber someone who was in Three Rivers with him. He was kissing her forehead. Quite adorable.
