Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart Confirm Their Romance — to Oprah Winfrey!

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart HAVE FINALLY CONFIRMED THAT THEY’RE DATING!

The pair — along with their Twilight: Eclipse costars Taylor Lautner and Dakota Fanning — taped an episode for The Oprah Winfrey Show earlier this week, to air May 13.

Backstage, Rob and Kristen told Oprah that they are, in fact, bumping uglies!

“We were all briefed before the show how to handle the talent,” an insider told ugly Ted at E! News.

“Part of what we were told was that Rob and Kristen are dating.”

This is what Teddy’s reporting:

So here’s how it went down:

Apparently, before Robsten and the gang went to tape the segment, they went over with Oprah what she was going to ask. O said she had to “go there” and gave Rob and Kristen the heads-up she was going to ask the big dating question.

Robsten and their people obviously said they wouldn’t straight-up answer, no surprise there, so Rob, Kristen and Oprah came to a little agreement.

When asked, Rob and Kristen could totally give the coy nonanswer answer (Rob joked Kristen was pregnant, Kristen joked Rob was having the baby), and O wouldn’t press it too hard on air.

On one condition—she wanted to know what was really happening.

Dishes our Oprah spy:

“Obviously Oprah had to ask something during the taping, but agreed beforehand she wouldn’t be too hard on [Rob and Kristen] if they told her what was really going on. Both Rob and Kristen’s people and Summit then confirmed ahead of time [Rob and Kristen] are together and are dating. One hundred percent.”

At least O knows how to get it out of them somehow! And really, are you going to lie to Oprah? No way!

So that’s the little agreement our fave couple settled on. They could get away with the deflected joking answer, but Oprah (and her crew) needed to know what was really up with them.

As for how the Twilight couple interacted behind the scenes? Let’s just say it certainly wasn’t as tense as it was in Vancouver!

“They weren’t superaffectionate or anything,” says our source, who was with Rob, Kristen and the cast the entire time they were at the show.

“Kristen seemed a little awkward and nervous, but Rob didn’t at all. He was really friendly and was cracking jokes the entire time.”

So is the confirmation to Oprah enough for you Nonsten’s that Rob and Kristen (who arrived back in L.A. together this week, too) are still happily together? Of course not, didn’t think so.

Her staff is well known for their loyalty and the fact that anyone in association with her studio has to sign iron clad confidentiality agreements.     Summit could learn a few things from these two pioneers who were a lot more successful at manipulating reality than they will ever be. In other words Summit stay out of the personal lives of R/K and concentrate on making wonderful films. Because everyday u sound more and more like a dating service instead of a movie studio.

    I’m so happy Meyers will be working with Chockstone Pictures and Nick Wechsler Productions. They have snapped up the rights to “Host” and have hired Andrew Niccol to direct. The Oscar-nominated screenwriter of “The Truman Show.” I will continue to follow Myers work and will try and forgive and forget she had anything to do with Summit. I see now Summit is incapable of respecting artist.

      Terri & Kim, I’m not sure why but it’s been nearly two days now since RPatz & K-Stew were caught on camera arriving a LAX together but not all loved up & coupley & no one has sighted them hanging out together anywhere strange but last month at the 2010 Coachella Music Festival many concert goers were saying they spotted both Michael Arangano & K-Stew together & they were even caught on camera by one of them Lonnie Clark who put the image up online (we have all seen it here on Showbiz Spy) & the only sighting of RPatz has been drinking at the bar at the luxury hotel Chataeu Marmont with two good (male) friends (TomStu & Sam Bradley maybe) but without his so called girlfriend K-Stew. I’m sure that if so called Robsten is infact true & they’re all loved up & everything why is RPatz staying at the luxury hotel Chateau Marmont now for filming his upcoming non Twilight Saga movie Water for Elephants with co-star Reese Witherspoon nearby & not stay with his so called girlfriend K-Stew who lives in the same area it seems strange as on semi pro Robsten site Popsugar they put up a story in early April 2010 of K-Stew house hunting for them & they even had images of her caught on camera looking at properties too so why isn’t she moving in with him if they’re meant to be dating eachother or maybe the house hunting wasn’t for them but for her & real boyfriend Michael Arangano & I’m sure the papparazzi do know where K-Stew lives by now as she was caught on camera many times leaving her home (see Socialite Life) so if RPatz pays her a visit they’ll be images of him being caught on camera doing so & they’ll be put on every gossip site & in every gossip magazine too.     Oh Sweet baby jesus give us patience to put up with all the shippers who will fall for these lies! It is always the same thing over and over again from the shippers and Summit lovers alike:: They give us no proof but run their mouths about how they were caught off film “kissing” or how they were acting “so very much in love” but yet there is still not one shred of proof. Nothing but the sad wishing of the shippers. And now we are to believe that they have said they are dating but conveniently it was an off air moment. Wise up Robsten fans! They are playing a game with you. Why you may ask? Because Summit wants your money! They want you out there thinking that these two fools are really in love. Lies upon lies. It makes me question the integrity of Robert. I think we have all seen what KStew is all about. That girl is trashy and she likes it that way. But Rob? It is sad to see him playing the game so well.       You have to remember he has a contract with Summit so if they are telling them that they have to do this they have to do it. We don’t know what the contract says, but it may stipulate that they have to be seen as a couple and/or they are not allowed to talk about their relationship.

      Do I think they are a couple, yeah a couple of friends. Is it wrong for them to play games? They are both young, Rob is new to the game, so he is going to do what he is told. I’m sure he is learning quickly though on what not to do in the future.

        Yeah I did and you are so right. Kristen Sweet had mentioned that when he is in LA he sticks pretty close to his hotel. It sounds like he just hangs out at the hotel bar. Most likely because of the papps being so bad in LA more so than in London, which they have laws to protect the celebrities after Princess Diana was killed.

        Kim – Hi there, just wanted to point out that there are no laws in the UK for paps, they’re just as vicious here as they are anywhere else (if there were laws it would be the end of our famous ‘red top’ publications);-)

        I posted something like this on the RP/KS surrounded by security board:

        There were no laws about paps in the UK there was only an agreement made between the press and the royal family in relation to the young princes. The agreement was that no pap photo’s would be printed so that the princes could have as normal a life as they possibly could. As soon as they reach an age whereby they take on more official duties it will be back to normal for the paps.

        As far as other celebs are concerned, they strike deals with the press in regard to photos of their kids. The pap photo’s still appear but the kids are pixalated so they can’t be identified.

        To clarify they tried to make a law but failed under the freedom of the press act.

    Thank you. I agree with you Kim that he is young. But the choices you make when young can and will shape the person you become when older. I hope for Robert Pattinson’s sake he has a strong group of family and friends around him. I fear before all this is over he will need it. It is sad to see someone as young as Kristen already looking worn and washed up at only 20 years of age. It is all about games now. Acting is no longer about talent. Movies are not for fans anymore. The craft is dead thanks to those who do play the game. Those who only see dollar signs. I will not be seeing the third Twilight movie because of the games they are playing, the lack of talent and because the films have been nothing like the books. Meyer really allowed the wrong group in and this is what happened. The real talent, best stories are no longer on the big screen but the small screen.

      Yeah I can see your point. I do have to say that from what I hear RP has a good set of friends and he is close to his family. I think that is why he is still very down to earth and appreciates his fans. You always see that he signs autographs and listens to the questions he is asked and answers them when he can. It can’t be an easy life to be pushed into. I think these two next films we will get to see how well RP can act. He is still learning and seems uncomfortable at times being the lead and has said that he would gladly accept a supporting role but is not asked.

      Meyer’s did let the wrong people take her great piece of work and destroy it in a sense. I think that is why so many fans are upset. I also think the actors are upset in a sense to because these films have gotten away from the true story.

I’m not sure if you have seen but people are commenting that RPatz was carrying that green handled bag he was caught on camera with arriving at LAX only a few days ago for his so called girlfriend K-Stew (see Robert Pattinson Life) as only the day before K-Stew was caught on camera (see semi pro Robsten site Popsugar) sitting in a SUV listening to her iPod at OHare with the green bag barely visible in the back seat & no RPatz wasn’t in the single image either now I’m sure we can go into the past & see that this bag handling story is old when RPatz, K-Stew & TomStu were caught on camera all leaving Heathrow & then all arriving at JFK days before the premiere of RPatz’s non Twilight Saga movie Remember Me in mid March 2010 he was seen to be carrying a yellow bag & everyone (the Robsten’s) out there were going crazy about it & saying that it was K-Stew’s yellow bag for sure & how romantic it was too (it would’ve been more romantic if those images (see Robert Pattinson Life) showed both RPatz & K-Stew walking together holding hands (fingers intertwined) & being coupley & all loved up but no it simply looked like three friends (TomStu too) hanging out) & wait for it when RPatz & TomStu were caught on camera leaving JFK only a few days later with no K-Stew in sight (it’s strange not to say goodbye to your so called boyfriend) I’m sure RPatz was carrying that yellow bag & when they both arrived at Heathrow he was still carrying that yellow bag so the mystery was solved it was RPatz’s yellow bag all along as the mystrey of the green handled bag is solved too it’s RPatz’s bag too as K-Stew wasn’t caught on camera (see semi pro Robsten site Popsugar) with it when she arrived at JFK last weekend for the 2010 MET Gala Ball & we all know that neither RPatz or his Twilight Saga co-star were caught on camera leaving LAX this week to go to the pre recording of Oprah.       It is funny though about this whole Oprah question thing. Those questions she asked on the show were submitted prior to anyone arriving in Chicago. I’m sure Summit had a copy along with each stars management team so that everyone could go over the questions and their answers.

      I’m also sure Summit told the actors how to answer certain questions and their managers advised them how to answer the others.

      I did hear that the whole conversation about their relationship and the joke that RP stated and then KS’s joke after sounded staged from some audience members.

    I have been reading your comments on KS and RP and enjoyed learning more about RP. I am a big fan of his acting and I never liked KS after her role in Speak which I loved the book but hated her acting. I was surprised she was actually casted as Bella and Meyer was ok with that. KS was the kind of girl Meyers hated in HS. Anyways what is the status of filimg of WFE. I love that book and Reese is a great actress. Are they starting soon. I heard they are fimiling in Filmore which is not too far from where I live.

    I read a cute article about Rob and his surprise visits. How funny he was. One had a dog barking when he knocked and he got excited. Like I said to my husband the first kisses he would have received at this house would have from two lab. retrievers and they would have never stopped being around him. Of course my one son said that he would have asked for KS’s phone number and the other would have asked if he played WOW and if not he would have been trying to get him to play.

    My son has prom tonight so I will be up late here in Mich.

      That makes sense. Because isn’t it a drive from LA to the town he is filming in? I heard that WFE is being filmed in two different locations so I’m not sure which is true. I heard Filmore by one source and Santa Paula by the WFE site.I know its an hour btwn LA and Santa Paula. And I just checked at the Filmore and LA are also an hour away. I would think you would want to be a little closer and out of LA as much as possible for privacy reasons.

        Its an hour from Six Flags over the grapevine. I hear Reese is renting a condo near Oxnard b/c of her kids and she will have them during filming. I live in the central valley and I know its haul from LA to Filmore and it is off of 129 which is not a highway that is easy to get to. They are closer to Santa Barbara than LA

I’m sure that with the goings on between RPatz & K-Stew over the past few weeks it has brought up some doubt & I’ve seen it on many other gossip sites & gossip magazine sites too that so called Robsten might not be real (we here at Showbiz Spy have known that all along) & maybe has been simply a publicity stunt (now a cover up or damage control) by Summit Entertainment the studio behind the Twilight Saga hence their nickname Scummit & that both RPatz & K-Stew have infact been simply telling everyone the truth from the begining were good (close) friends & I’m sure that in a court of law if there is one ounce of reasonable doubt that something is true it isn’t & that is the simple logic that all of those schoolgirl Robsten’s out there don’t have yet & if they do then it might be a different story.       I know when I was reading on Ted’s site you have people all over the place trying to prove their points. Some are saying that Summit is playing both sides of the fence to keep the PR going.

      Supposedly there was someone on there that said she was the wife to a sound editor and that RP was there doing voice overs and that all the cast and crew know that KS and PR together. So of course Robsten fans are jumping on that as being fact.

I’m sure this is the first time that RPatz has been caught on camera (see the link below courtesy of our regular here on Showbiz Spy shadow & good work for putting it up & it was taken when he was off gaurd too so even better as it’s not a photographic oppertunity) since LAX on the 7th May 2010 (see semi pro Robsten site Popsugar for images & Robert Pattinson Life for video footage) with his so called girlfriend K-Stew (they were not all loved up & coupley say holding hands (fingers intertwined) walking through the terminal together she was in front of him until they separated when they went down the escalator he went onto the shuttle bus with his security & most importantly without her) & without her too & it seems strange as to why they’re not hanging out together backstage at those voice overs that he did yesterday as she didn’t have anything on either & they seem to avoid eachother like the plauge unless told not to by the publicity department of Summit Entertainment the studio behind the Twilight Saga & Remember Me who are in serious damage control or cover up mode now as they know that many fans out there know that so called Robsten isn’t true & they’re simply trying to keep those who do happy to protect the already tainted franchise safe.     Hi everyone and Happy Mother’s Day.

    Yeah e online was talking about the picture and tweet all day yesteray. Especially since the wife of the sound editor stated that it was common knowledge by cast and crew that KS and RP are a couple. They were trying to say the NR and RP don’t get along and KS doesn’t have to be with RP all of the time. But that KS and TL had their voice overs the previous day together.

    I’ll be around not doing much except being pampered by hubby and boys.

    Kim-Got your email.You would think that if KS and RP are a couple she would try her darndest to make herself look like a actual 20 year old woman and not a 12 year old boy like she did in those Coachella pictures.I think it gets tiring after awhile especially for RP when KS tries to look like him all the time.It may be cute now to wear matching clothes every once in awhile but its not going to be cute when he is 35 and she is 30.I shouldn’t worry about them when they reach their thirties they won’t even be together. I beginning to wonder if the rumors that they are friends with benefits hits it right on the head when comming to describing KS and RP relationship.I hatge to think this but I am beginning to think that supposidly mystery blond seen comming out of RP hotel in Vancouver during reshoots might have been KS wearing a blond wig.But what confuses me is that when they got back to LA KS mother picked her up and and RP left in a airport limo.If they are a supposidly couple and everyone knows it why wouldn’t KS either ride with RP in the airport limo or RP comes with her in her moms car.

      Okay, first off gather.com is a site like Wikapedia that anyone can write for. Meaning I could write a story that I am dating RP and publish on that site. Not that it is true or false it is out there.

      Whether you believe they are boyfriend/girlfriend, friends or just castmembers doesn’t matter since this type of journalism is getting out of hand were no one checks their sources to make sure they are true or not. Everyone is so much in a rush to be the first one to have information in our society today that people’s lives can be hurt in the end.

      So believe what you want but you may want to check where your getting your information from and where they are getting theirs from before you start to believe it.
