Elin Nordegren Didn’t Find Tiger Woods Attractive — Book Says

According to new book Tiger: The Real Story, the former Swedish model kept turning the golfer down when he asked her on a date all those years ago.

“Elin Nordegren was not the type of young woman to date Tiger Woods, at least not at first,” said the tome, written by author Steve Helling.

“For one thing, she had a boyfriend at home in Sweden. He was a normal, decent guy, driving a forklift in a warehouse.

“If things worked out with him, her life would be safe and predictable, an option that Elin actually found extremely appealing.

“Dating Tiger Woods would be just the opposite: paparazzi and tabloids would be around every corner, and Elin couldn’t bear the thought of such an invasion of privacy. Besides, she really didn’t find Tiger attractive; he simply wasn’t her type.”

“The challenge of the pursuit appealed to Tiger,” says the biography. “The more Elin declined, the more insistent Tiger became. On his fifth request, Elin finally agreed to go out with him, but only for one date. She knew he would keep asking her out until she said yes, so this would be the easiest way to get him off her back.”

The book goes on to say that Tiger and Elin went to dinner and a movie, a surprisingly low-key date. And on their second date, Elin was surprised to find that she liked the golfer.

“For the first time, Elin didn’t feel that she was with a celebrity; she felt that she was out with a nice, normal guy,” according to the book. “She was surprised to be falling for him so quickly.”

Meanwhile, Tiger and Elin look set to divorce after the billionaire golfer cheated on her with dozens of different women. Bad times!

    When she was dating Tiger, I read a story saying that there were a long line of single golfers wanting to date her including Tiger.
    I won’t be surprised at all if Elin presented a challenge to him like winning a golf major. This guy is such a jerk.Treating you wife like a piece of garbage is so low. She was just an ornement on his arm, a beautiful wife to make him look better in society.
    Poor Elin. He never ever loved her ! How could you pursue a woman like that and destroy her like he did is beyond me.
    I still believe he will get the fair punishment !!!!!!!

    While I am sorry for what happened. She like all the others found Tiger very attractive. She went looking for him just like all the other blondes he bedded. She became a nanny to trap him. There is nothing ‘poor’ about her. She is coming out with her ‘millions’ just as planned. I am sorry that Tiger didn’t see through it earlier. If I were Tiger I would just give her all and let her go for his peace of mind.

    Ade – Elin was a nanny WAY before she met Tiger, and she did NOT go “looking for him.” Just because YOU would have behaved that way, does not mean that she did. Why is it so hard for you to see her as just a nice person who got treated very, VERY badly? She NEVER cheated on him. HE, on the other hand slept with anything with a pulse, she did absolutely nothing to deserve that. Even Tiger himself says that he simply felt entitled, after all, he is Tiger Woods and the usual rules didn’t apply to him. Now if HE can admit that, why do you feel it necessary to blame the victim??

    Do not get your knickers in a twist. She became Nanny to a golfer to get close to Tiger and close to him she did. So when Tiger had once mentioned that when he did something or the other with a golf ball and when he raised his head he saw this beautiful woman standing there. Her standing there was no accident it was by design. She placed her self there for him to see her. She did exactly what all the other blondes did. She entrapped him. Of course, Tiger’s wife appears to be a nice person. I have no doubt about that. Lets face it though, their marriage was over a long time ago/ caput/ and they were living a charade and that’s why Tiger was sleeping around. They both should have come clean with it instead of trying to hide, then all this would have been avoided with tiger getting the very rough, rough end of the stick. I dont see Tiger’s wife as the only victim here. They are both victims as far as I am concerned for Tiger was roasted and toasted. Correction – Tiger did not ‘sleep with anything with a pulse’. He slept with beautiful, vivacious blonde women (with a few brunettes thrown in for variety). Tiger’s wife knew what he was like before he bedded and wedded her. She went into it with open eyes. That is the risk women take.
    She should have stayed with her forklift truck boyfriend. Of course, I feel her pain and wish her well but they are both to blame for they were concealing the true state of their marriage and as a result Tiger was horribly treated and that is what I would never, ever come to terms with – The HORRIBLE HORRIBLE TREATMENT THAT WAS METED OUT TO TIGER WOODS. So you see where I am coming from. Many celebrities cheat on their wives but no one has had to endure what Tiger Woods endured. So my dear I am all for my Tiger. I am happy that you support his wife that’s good. I all for TIGER.

    Ade – Reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeally screwed. Gotta agree there. BUT – I totally disagree that she became a nanny to entrap Tiger. Also, Tiger wasn’t as particular about who he bedded as you think he was. ANYTHING WITH A PULSE – ’cause he felt entitled. And you don’t think Elin was treated badly at all?? Really??? I must disagree. That’s OK though. It’s OK to agree to disagree. If more married people felt that way, I think there would be a lot fewer divorces. Can we agree on that? Take care – this has been fun.

    I think it strange how some people have tried to belittle Elin Nordegren before researching her. Elin’s mother is like Hillary Clinton in Sweden – a top government official. Elin’s father is a respected broadcast journalist. Elin herself, as a model, appeared on the COVER of National magazines in Sweden. Tiger Woods did not marry just some blonde mannequin. Elin Nordegren Woods is an intelligent, successful young lady in her own right. Elin and her twin sister came to the USA with their father and began to take care of the children of family friends, pro golfer Jesper Parnevik and his wife. Parnevik is the son of a famous Swedish comedian. Wealthy people in Europe often get the older children of wealthy friends to take care of their own children. It really is different from what it’s usually like over here in the U.S. Elin was farrrrr from just “the nanny.” Tiger Woods knew he was marrying someone special. Sadly, he just forgot that. Perhaps stupid Gilette, with its stupid gay ads showing Tiger’s friend Roger Federer stroking Tiger’s cheek had something to do with Tiger thinking he had to “prove” his manliness. The stupid gay creators of that ad should be ashamed of themselves and the fact that they were among the first to drop Tiger. I think there were other factors affecting Tiger’s adultery – some of it having to do with death threats, the way some other golfers, announcers, and “journalists” treated him. The whole thing is sad. I wish Elin had it in her heart to forgive him – and that he is ALWAYS faithful from now on. When the ambulance was about to drive off with Tiger, witnesses there said they heard Elin yell, “I love you!” to Tiger before she turned toward home to see to their children. The Bible says the ONLY legitimate reason to get a divorce is infidelity. That makes sense because an unfaithful spouse can bring home deadly diseases to a faithful one. But the Bible also holds out the possibility of forgiveness. Either way Elin chose would be understandable. But for the sake of their love and their children, I pray Elin and Tigern decide to stay in their marriage.

    Btw, of all the pro golfers who WANTED to date Elin, she fell in love with and married Tiger Woods. The man is built like a small linebacker and he has a smile that lights up the world. Elin would have had to be BLIND not to see that Tiger Woods is VERRRY attractive. I think the author may be putting his own bias into it. The fact that Tiger got into Stanford and has a great sense of humour add to his attractiveness. He is brilliant, brawney, and funny. What’s not to like?

      If Tiger was a gentleman, or even a descent human being he would have Told Elin what he was wanted to do before he did it. It’s not so much the sex but the lying. & dishonesty that ruins the foundation of a marriage. He did what he did because he thought he could get away with it. They both took vows before God to be faithful to each other. He alone is responsible for his actions. He has to ask forgiveness to God, his wife & family & hopefully this will make him a better person, father & maybe some day a more loyal & faithful partner…

    Tiger wife was a nanny. You can twist it and turn it how much you like. SHE WAS A NANNY. Yes, her mother is a politician but NOT IN HILLARY CLINTON’S LEAGUE. No one is disputing Tiger’s wife background. Don’t you think that many of the blondes Tiger bedded came from noble backgrounds too but worked as waitresses, and the other types of professions but people still use pejorative names as ‘bimbos’ and ‘trash’ to describe them. Tiger has a penchant for those type of women. Different strokes for different folks. If Tiger thought that she was just a nanny, then he probably would not have got married to her. How did her family background get into it though? Tiger did not marry her for her family background. Lets face it her boyfriend when she met Tiger was a driver of a forklift in a ware house in Sweden(as the article above states). A choice between a fork lifter in a warehouse and a champion golfer. I would have gone for Tiger, even if I had to bag his face. Luckily for her Tiger is a handsome guy with a winsome smile and a decent, respectful chap. He said not a word during all the horrible treatment meted out to him. What a gentlemen.

    The marriage broke down and they were still living together as though nothing happened. Hence the reason Tiger becoming ‘too girlie girlie’ as the song says and was he persecuted for this. Both of them are from divorced homes. Tiger was born from a second marriage. You win some you lose some. Marriages break down. MOVE ON. MAKE A CLEAN BREAK. DO NOT LIVE A LIE. It is the lie that they were living that caused all of Tiger’s problems. I WEPT FOR TIGER to see how people, fellow golfers, so called friends ripped into him. Tiger was like my bothers, my sons, my nephews being ‘crucified’

    So that’s how it happened……Elin had already “dated”, i.e. slept with other golf pros before she met Tiger. She was an attractive nanny for Jesper Parnevik and had the opportunity to meet the golfers. It wasn’t until after they were married that Tiger found out she had slept with other golfers and was devastated. He was asked one night, while playing poker with a bunch of other golfers how it felt to know his wife slept with_____ and _____ ? This news was very upsetting to Tiger and changed his outlook and opinion of Elin – especially since she wasn’t honest about it before the marriage. It put him in a tailspin and forever changed their relationship. After that, he wasn’t faithful and she was well aware of his unfaithfulness and accepted it.
