CATE BLANCHETT DISHES ON HER MUD “FETISH”!

CATE Blanchett has revealed she smeared her face with mud while filming new movie Robin Hood.
The actress — who stars alongside Russell Crowe in the upcoming film — has told how she came up with the idea of getting down and dirty to portray a tougher version of Maid Marion.
“I used a lot of mud,” explains Cate. “I would come down to the set relatively clean and pick something off the ground and smear it on myself. A fetish? I’m not quite sure!”
Cate — who’s married to screenwriter Andrew Upton – recently revealed that her husband threatened to divorce her if she has plastic surgery.
“I haven’t had anything done, but who knows,” she said earlier this month. “Andrew said he’d divorce me if I did anything. When you’ve had children, your body changes; there’s history to it… I think it’s important not to eradicate it.
“I look at someone’s face and I see the work before I see the person. I personally don’t think people look better when they do it; they just look different.”
