AMANDA Seyfried‘s boyfriend Dominic Cooper obviously didn’t like the fact the actress kept mouthing off about their relationship at any given opportunity!

The couple — who started dating in 2008 after meeting on the set of Mamma Mia! — announced Wednesday that they’re taking a break.

“Amanda and Dominic have been on and off for a while — and right now they’re taking a break,” a source told People magazine. “But they’re great friends and could still get back together.”

“They have been on and off for a long time,” another source told Us Weekly magazine. “Right now, they are taking some space from each other.

“They still talk all the time and are trying to work things out. They are still very good friends. There is no drama. They are just on a break.”

Seyfried, 24, recently admitted she wasn’t sure if Cooper was “The One.”

“Too much planning can lead to heartbreak,” she told Teen Vogue. “Love is great and possible always, but it’s very rare to have the feeling that ‘I want to be with this person forever.’”

Amanda even criticized Dominic for not moving out to New York to be closer to her.

“I bought a place. He didn’t yet. I actually bought real estate, not in L.A., not in London, but in New York, so I’m hoping he’ll decide to move over for a while,” she said earlier this month. “But he’s got all his best friends in London. He can’t leave them behind. I don’t know what it will take.

“Actors are separated all the time. It almost feels like things are on hold, but we send each other messages during the day. It’s easier than I thought it would be.

“My friend was talking to me… and he was like, ‘You’re not worried?’ And I thought, ‘What’s to be worried about?’ It’s fine, it really is.”

And to make matters worse, the Letters to Juliet star admitted her career is more important than her relationship.

“Sometimes I focus less on my relationship and more on my career,” she said last week.
