Brittany Murphy’s Husband Simon Monjack Found Dead in Los Angeles

Brittany MurphySIMON Monjack — the widower of tragic actress Brittany Murphy — has been found dead at his home in Los Angeles.

Brittany’s mother, Sharon, found Monjack unconscious in the master bedroom around 9:30PM, and then called 911.

Fire Department personnel provided medical services to Monjack, and he was pronounced dead, according to a Los Angeles police sergeant, who declined to give his name, at the Hollywood Station late Sunday night. The sergeant said detectives were arriving at the home.

The cause of death was unknown late Sunday night.

“We have detectives at scene,” said Sgt. Louie Lozano. “They are conducting their investigation. Once we have further information, we will provide it.”

Murphy passed away aged 32 on December 20 2009.

    I read that he was depressed about loosing Brittney and was very upset when she didn’t leave him any of her $12 million dollars that she had earned in her will.Her will I read was made out before they even started dating.I guess since he was her widow he should get some of her estate.

      I think it was because like many of us, she thought she wouldn’t see death at such a young age. We will all die sooner than we think…

    that’s true. He should have gotten some of her money.. he was her friggin husband for God’s sake. Why can’t he be entitled to a certain percentage of it. Why didn’t Brittany set him up? Why would she do that to the man she loved?

    Don’t talk ill about the dead. Brittany in a million years would not expected to pass away since she was young. It happened to some people who don’t update their will or even have one.

    Beside Simon Monjack had a heart problem and was supposed to go into surgery. This may be the other reason why he passed away so suddenly and young. His mother in law found his body and it must have been a shock for her. I guess some people didn’t realizes she was there for him when her daughter died and know that he was ill with a heart defect.

    Then again some people say his death was suspension but his people came out and say it was his heart problem that cause it. There’s other talk that he may have been taking different prescriptions. We all know how in Hollywood people get prescriptions too easy from different doctors as we found out with the late Anna Nicole Smith, Michael Jackson and Corey Haim.
