HAYDEN Panettiere is the hot favorite to play a Teen Angel in a Captain Caveman movie.

Movie bosses are apparently desperate to bring the 1970s cartoon hero to the big screen — and Hayden is the top choice for leading lady.

“The idea is to have Captain Caveman animated in an otherwise live action cast,” reveals a movie insider. “It’s going to be a huge franchise.

“Hayden Panettiere has already been mentioned as one of the Teen Angels.”

Hayden, 20, recently admitted she struggles to maintain her size.

“Sometimes I give in to my cravings but if you’re a size 8, you have to watch what you eat most of the time,” she said. “It’s a nightmare!

“I’ve got this voice in my head saying, ‘Carbs, carbs, carbs! Pizza and pasta are best!’ and I’m always fighting to turn it off.”
