CHARLOTTE Church has split from fiance Gavin Henson – just six weeks after announcing their engagement, according to reports.

The couple — who have been together for five years and raise two children — have apparently made a “mutual decision” to call time on their romance.

Gavin, who has told pals his relationship with Charlotte is over, is expected to move out of their $2m in Wales while Church stays there with their children, Ruby, two, and one-year-old Dexter, reports Britain’s News of The World newspaper.

“It is an incredibly sad state of affairs. Both Gavin and Charlotte are deeply distraught,” a source said.

“But after a lot of soul-searching, they realized this is the best course of action for them and the children. It was a mutual decision.

“To the outside world they were a golden couple. The truth is, they had the same insecurities as anyone else. Charlotte is very headstrong.

“In the end, Gav found it too much. He was blaming her for his rugby career stalling. She hated him going out drinking with mates.

“Now Charlotte is throwing herself into re-launching her pop career. She is in the studio working on a new album, and will be spending a lot more time in London. And Gav just wants to get his rugby boots back on.

“One thing they do still share together is complete devotion to their two children. That won’t change at all — and Gav will continue to play a very active role in their lives.

“He is devastated about the break-up, especially because of the impact on the two little ones.”
