ROCKER John Mayer has scrapped several European tour dates after coming down with a mystery illness.

The No Such thing hitmaker is returning to America to seek medical attention, but insists he’ll make a “full recovery”.

The 32-year-old had already called off a show in Copenhagen earlier in the week due to his bad health.

“After performing in a sold-out show in Copenhagen, John Mayer was forced to cancel his second show there on 5/31,” said a statement on the musician’s website.

“Regrettably, the illness has caused his remaining European shows scheduled through this week to be canceled as well (Amsterdam, Madrid and Manchester).”

The statement instructs ticket holders to apply for a refund.

John — who was rumored to have been dumped by actress Jennifer Aniston because of his obsession with Twitter  — recently admitted he thinks his account on the social-networking site is a substitute relationship.

Explaining his Half of My Heart, he said earlier this year, “It’s about questions of, do I want to share my desires with someone else or do I just want to sate them myself with my laptop and my Twitter account? — these are substituting relationships.

“Knowing that I could blog right now from my iPhone and it’s up on the internet with people reading it and responding to it. How much is that a synthetic version of having dinner with somebody? How intimidating must it be to try to find an ‘in’ with the man who is consistently satisfying himself by all means necessary? Where is her place in that?”
