MATT Lauer‘s life is set to get a whole lot more complicated!
According to a report in American tabloid the National Enquirer, the TV star’s ex-wife Nancy Alspaugh is planning to write a tell-all book about her marriage to Matt, who was recently accused of cheating on his current wife, Annette Roque.
Lauer was married to Alspaugh from 1982 to 1988.
“Nancy is putting in secrets about her marriage to Matt,” said one loose-lipped insider.
“She’s writing a kind of self-help book – about finding your true calling after going through adversity.”
Nancy has confirmed she is writing the book, but insisted she didn’t want to comment on her ex’s recent troubles.
“I don’t want to go there,” she said.
Previous reports claimed Matt — who married Annette in 1998 — is denying reports his marriage is on the rocks to save his image as a “solid family man”.
The National Enquirer said Annette accused Matt of fooling around during Today‘s on-site coverage of the Olympics in Vancouver.
Lauer then released a statement, insisting, “I am living in my apartment with Annette and my children as a family and a couple.
“I have never moved out. I am not moving out. There is no truth to that.
“Have we had a completely perfect, easy marriage? No. But the stories you’ve read over the years are not true.
“I don’t think we’re any different than any married couple that’s been together for 12 years.
“The accusations [of infidelity] are ridiculous and I’m not going to [dignify] them with an answer. It’s not true.”
