Robert Pattinson Didn’t Want to Kiss Kristen Stewart at MTV Movie Awards!

Robert Pattinson and Kristen StewartROBERT Pattinson admits he didn’t want to kiss Kristen Stewart at the MTV Movie Awards this past Sunday.

Speaking to MTV News, the hunky British actor says he had better ideas that didn’t involve getting intimate with his Twilight costar.

Pattinson, 24, also admitted the onstage smooch “didn’t work”.

“I had the best ideas last night and I was like, ‘Listen everybody, leave it to me, I’ve got it all under control’,” he said.

“I gave all these ideas and nobody thought they were funny and we ended up doing something which didn’t work!”

Rob and Kristen scooped the Best Kiss gong for New Moon.

Rob himself scooped the trophies for Best Male Performance and Global Superstar.

“To be honest, I should’ve been nominated in a few more categories,” said the British actor.

“It’s a disappointment. It’s an OK result, I think it’s only three. We did better last year.”

As previously reported on Showbiz Spy, Rob has been trying to distance himself from Kristen because he’s worried their cozy relationship will affect his career — because she keeps making silly comments to the media.

“Rob is worried that being associated with Kristen will harm his career,” a source said. “He’s worked far too hard to get where he is to let it all come crashing down because of someone else’s actions.

“He’s distancing himself from Kristen more and more. He says, ‘If she wants to ruin things for herself, then let her! But she won’t be dragging me down with her!’”

If you feel like kissing because it was for “best kiss” then do it. But acting like that makes you look really weird and stupid. In fact, while accepting his best/global actor awards he thanked Kristen and called her the lynchpin (key figure that holds them all together) of the Twilight movies!!! They are obviously very close friends (or more).

    First of all if Rob has such a problem with Kristen then he probably would be wanting to move away from her during the awards and Rob is not that conceited, in fact I don’t think he is conceited. How did Kristen manage to get fans when all of her previous movies were so PG 13 and nice? Where did she get the die hard goths and Krisbians from? She has lost her teen fan base (no mom will give their kids money to see Rileys and Runaways and they can’t get in without id. So explain how Kristen acquired so many rabid fans? Rob has fans of all ages because most people recognize a funny sweet guy when they see it. How did Kristen become popular with goths, gays, emo and pot heads? Was it her pipe smoking and kissing Nikki in the car video that just made them fans for life?

        You are right about the shippers. Even this famous shipper site that edits videos to show the showmance as real,announced in summer 2009 that Kristen and Rob were not really a couple. You used the word champion. Rob gave an interview and said that he finds it sweet that people like us feel we have to champion him. He used the words “defend my honor”. He admitted in Vanity Fair he follows the gossip sites even though he knows it’s stupid and not good for him. He told Vanity Fair Italy that it messes with your mind as it can only make you really conceited or really feel upset.

    This is the pic of what it looked like when he tried to kiss her anyway. Notice that his mouth lines up to her cheek. Even when his back was to the audience and he could have kissed her, he did not.

        He does dress like a hobo and like I said, looked like Elmer Fudd last night. He dresses badly because according to Emma Watson, he is an absent minded professor type. Always in his own world, rewriting scripts, reading..he has no ego and is not vain. I think that is part of his charm. He does not primp or look in the mirror. He is clean looking. His hair is just gelled too much. He hates to shave so he look scruffy. He like his beer but he is always where he is supposed to be and speaks so eloquently that he is charming.     IMO: R seems like a genuinely agreeable person still unblemished by HW it’s quite refreshing. He has the ability to really influence change perhaps a new generation in HW. But R needs to manage the storm he’s currently in. R’s easy-going attitude is o.k. But he needs to get tougher behind closed doors to survive. The Robsten thing is an indication that he needs to get tougher?

    So far R has a good reputation as a TEAM player on and off. His genial attitude was pretty admirable at the award show last night! Im sure that’s why people want to work with him.

I watched as they pit the cameras on him while Kristen accepted her award for best female actress and he had a huge smile on his face for her so he’s happy for her and still is her friend. Rob has stated that if he had a girl he would not hide it but does not want the hassle and the stalking that would result if he had a girlfriend right now. He is busy and open but his circle is pretty small and most girls assume he is with Kristen anyway. Who else does he meet? Make up and movie staff, waitresses, stewardesses, hotel help.         I DON’T LIKE KRISTINE FOR ROB because she’s too uneasy and distractive for him in public. We do pardon somebody’s discomfort in front of so many people; but our Rob needs a descent, dignified, strong-willed woman. That’s what Rob is looking for! Taureans are like that knowing for their tough, but fragile character. But I do believe that they do have a romantic relationship, not just being friends. Its pretty obvious with their body languages, excluding all the publicity issue. Who would Rob turn to after all this time every girl in the world wants to chase after him?     I think someone should write a book. Call it “Rob & Kris: A PR fauxmance” It really is a classic move. A teen movie comes out and the big boys backing the film push anything and everything they can. They market anything from gum, cereal to bedding and shoes. They push the actors to hang out together. If it’s a love story, then what better way to get into the hearts and minds of young girls to make them spend every free hour of the day and every penny in the bank on posters, keychains, cds, t-shirts, book bags, even cups! How do you do that? You take the two main actors of them film, the ones playing the lovesick fools, and you have them pretend to be a couple. Sure they may hook up once or twice because hanging out on long shoots actors get bored. But what the public sees and what really goes on are two very different things. You have the just Kristen fans. The ones that love her and would die for her. They dislike Rob just because he is a man and breathes. Then you have his fans. They see little miss emo girl and worry she will bring him down to her level. Then you have the fans they love both. But only as a “couple” they will never even entertain the idea that these two may not be together. They will never stop. They feel they must be a couple to make their lives complete. They have somehow gotten it into their heads that if Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart date then the world is ok. No harm will come. They also believe that Robert is edward and Kris is bella. They can’t see where the film ends and the real world begins. It is really scary. It is odd and I would ask where the parents are, but crazy enough most of the moms are right there in line with the teens. Like a mother who took her four year old daughter out last year in Nov weather at 3am to stand in line to watch NM. Sick.

      I think your summary is pretty spot on. The females over 25 see Rob as a nice guy with talent that should stay clear of Kristen. Not because they want him to be single, just because they can see how a guy who is gentle and easy going could get pushed around by her and made to look like a wimp.
      Would Taylor Lautner look like a nice wholesome all American kid if he was seen hanging with Amy Winehouse?       Lori I think what happened was someone used your name and spouted off some bad things under your name. That is a common problem on these boards. Some of the haters out there use our names. That is why many of the regulars here have avatars so we can tell which are the actual people and who are the fakes. This is what I am thinking may have happened.

However recently there has been a number of posts made by someone who seems to be the same person under different monikers (Lori being one). And they always have an issue with homosexuality and in some cases post links to disgusting homophobic sites.

      The only thing I will say to you in response to your questions is I have mentioned Kristen Stewarts sexualty ONCE as a comparison to the article on Linsay Lohan, but even then I did not say it was a reason to dislike. I have NEVER stated my dislike because she may or may not be gay or bi. It’s because of her attitude, my opinion that she can’t act.

      Whether she is and you know what you know and one of the reasons you dislike her is because she is lying to herself and others by being ‘gender confused’ is still an insult. Kristen Stewart is 20 years old – she is old enough to know better with her actions or comments, but at that age she may well be confused. Who are we to judge when it comes to sexuality. There are people who are still ‘confused’ on this subject until they are elderly. It’s partly because of the number of these posts that I snapped in response to the ‘gender confused’ post. It just seemed it was still using sexuality as an excuse to hate – but in a toned down manner.

      The last thing is that I DO NOT feel like I’m in charge, ask any of the regulars here and it will be the first time I have ever posted something like this.     It is easy to see why people would believe they are dating. There are many stares by Kristen mostly. Rob said she was his crush. Many videos show that the two have a nice rapport together. Something changed during New Moon and was more obvious after she did Runaways. They became awkward and tense around each other. She looked really run down and transformed from well groomed to sloppy on Eclipse set. Her eyes looked so sad. They are just starting to look more comfortable together on the New Moon Tour and at MTV. It is hard to be friends if one of the participants wants to be more than friends.       If you factor out the worldwide figure from Remember Me total Robert’s film still made more than Kristen. The reason why Kristen film was not shown or did badly in the USA and Worldwide is because it reek.
