Barack Obama‘s old New York apartment has just gone up for rent!

The property in question — 3E at 42 West 109th St. — was Obama’s home in 1981. It can be yours for $1,900 a month.

According to Gawker:

The ad for the pre-war Upper West Side apartment boasts “beautiful hardwood floors,” “high ceilings,” “large closets” and “OBAMA SLEPT HERE AND YOU CAN TOO.” The New York Times says Obama lived here with a roommate in 1981 during his Junior year at Columbia. But what will you get for your $1,900, besides the exciting possibility that some of Obama’s dandruff is still floating around in the living room?

Reports earlier this month claimed Barack’s wife, Michelle Obama, exploded with rage after learning her husband has been caught in a cheating scandal with a 35-year-old woman.

The affair rumor mill went into overdrive earlier this month after the Commander-in-Chief was seen at a posh hotel with sexy former campaign worker Vera Baker.

Michelle is also said to be worried that there could be damning security tapes her husband’s enemies could use to crush his presidency.

“Michelle’s beside herself,” a source blabbed to American tabloid the National Enquirer.

“She can’t believe Barack could put himself in this position!

“The scandalous buzz about Obama and Ms. Baker has been out there for years. But Michelle never had any evidence positively linking the two romantically, and he and Baker always brushed off the salacious rumors as Republican lies.

“Michelle is furious that the political gossips are at it again. She was especially upset to learn there might be a videotape of Obama with Baker at the hotel! If true, that could ruin his presidency — and his marriage.

“Michelle doesn’t understand how this shrewd politician could end up in a situation that appears to be compromising at the very least.

“She’s furious, humiliated and embarrassed. It’s put another huge strain on the Obamas’ marriage.

“Michelle’s adamant that if she finds there’s a shred of truth to these allegations, she’ll leave Barack! He insists there’s nothing to the story, that it’s just right wing operatives trying to discredit him.

“Right now, they’re both bracing for the other shoe to drop — and if it ever does, there will be hell to pay in the Obama White House!”

    There is a laundry list of the campaign (and after) promises Mr. Obama has broken. Virtually every President serving this country has had a church affiliation, has placed his hand over his heart at the playing of the National Anthem, has saluted our troops with his RIGHT hand. This man does not even give lip service or show the least bit of respect to the things considered the cornerstones of our country.

    I wish Mr. Obama well – not for his sake but for the sake of our country.

    I is quite a shock for people in other parts of the country to fathom that an apartment costs so much.Having rented apartments in NYI can fiure that the apartment cost so much, The size of theapartment isn’t nentioned It probably is rarher small even at that price.The location is another thing going in to the cozt. The hardwood floors sound niceRverything is more expensive in New York City. Thrtr is only so much space on the iskand hence realestate there is quite costly. If someone from the south or even thre midwest sees the price Obama paid for the apartment might think he was being extravagant since the cost to rennt an apartment even one with a fair amount of space and good amenities would not come near to 19004 a b
    month. That is not to say they’re naive, but just that the way of life and the cost of life are not costly. Our country is vast and we are fortunate to live here, but there are so many different cultures and a wide of resideces, Here in Texas, you can own a very nice house and still have a mortgage payment that is much lower than 1900$amonth. When someone needs an apartment in NY they must pay the price. I am not sure of the point of this article is. Is it meant to show the president is extravagant? Or is it meant to show him as an elitist? I can’t imagine that it is meant purely advertise to get renters into the apartment. Sleeping where someone famous slept probably does n’t matter to them much.

    I want to live much longer than my parents and grandparent with out high blood pressure, heart problems and no cholesterol build up, diabetes and other diseases; that doesn’t put draw on the body.     The appartment looks like my closet. My mortgage is less than the rent. I’ve never understood the allure of living in NY under those circumstances–small living quarters, high rent, not having your own car to drive around. All are foreign concepts to me.

    Praying he will be out in two years without too much irreputable damage. Hoping Obamacare is overturned–what a complete nightmare. This is coming from some one uninsured. I’d rather be uninsured than be under his health care.

    Ya know, I could believe a lot of things about our president but an affair with a woman is not one of them. It just doesn’t compute. The only way I would believe that my president was having sex with a woman other than his wife would require a video of the highest quality and enough detail to show that the face and body belong to the president and the alleged woman.     Our president is not having an affair, and Bush didn’t act to quickly on the 911 crash disaster, New Yorks mayor was the one that started everything. Obama is not living in government housing anymore than any of our previous presidents. If anyone has any way to fix the oil spill and clean up the mess please step forward.     Not to worry the color of a persons skin can’t give them a free ride forever, the guilt card is useless now most people are sick of that over used over used emotional manipulation garbage.
