KRISTEN Bell’s relationship almost stopped her fiancé landing a movie role.

The actress — who has been dating Dax Shepard since 2007 — admits producers on When In Rome were initially concerned that casting the couple opposite one another could lead to problems on set.

“When they started casting they knew Dax and I were dating and almost didn’t hire him for that reason,” she said.

“I said, ‘I get it, you don’t want drama, but we’re not very dramatic. If you want the best person, hire him!’ ”

The 29-year-old actress was thrilled when Dax was eventually cast.

“They did and it was wonderful,” she said.

Kristen and Dax got engaged in January, but are in no rush to set a date for their wedding.

“At this point who really cares?” she said. “I don’t know when it’s going to be. People ask, ‘When are you going to do it?’ and I’m like, ‘Wait, isn’t this supposed to be the important thing? Getting engaged?’ ”
