CRYSTAL BOWERSOX SAYS SHE’S “SHOCKED” THAT HER BOYFRIEND KICKED HER TO THE CURB IN FAVOR OF A QUIET LIFE!

Crystal Bowersox CRYSTAL Bowersox has revealed her boyfriend dumped her because he wanted a “simple, quiet life” away from Hollywood.

The singer says Ohio native Tony Kusia — whom she had dated for eleven months — shocked her when he announced he wanted to end the romance.

“That did shock me,” the American Idol runner-up told Steppin’ Out magazine.

“I woke up Tuesday morning and he just had an epiphany. He wanted a simple, quiet life and I respect that. I’m glad he told me instead of sticking it out and realizing it later that he would be unhappy.

“We always had a real open and honest relationship with each other…I’ve had to deal with a lot worse in my life. It was bad timing, definitely. But I feel like I’ve never been stronger in my life. It was nothing that I couldn’t handle. I just channeled all of that emotion into my performances.”

Recent reports claimed Bowersox is a “free spirit” when it comes to her sexuality — and has a secret gay past.

“Crystal was a free spirit,” an insider told American tabloid the National Enquirer.

“She wasn’t slutty, but if she found someone attractive, whether male or female, she’d give them a chance with her.

“It was around New Year’s 2002, Crystal was 16 and she and I were chatting with a pal, a younger boy.

“The conversation got around to our sexual experiences

“Crystal wasn’t at all shy. She told me she’d had sexual experiences with three girls. ‘I’m a pro at this, baby!’ she said.

“She said one affair — with a girl her age at school — was a serious lesbian relationship. The other two were more like sexual experimentation.

“She suddenly asked, ‘Do YOU want to try it?’”
