ZOE SALDANA TO MARRY HER LONGTIME BOYFRIEND KEITH BRITTON — REP CONFIRMS!

Posted by Adam

Zoe SaldanaZOE Saldana is getting married!

The actress, 32, is engaged to her boyfriend of 10 years, Keith Britton.

“She’s thrilled,” a source tells Us Weekly magazine in its latest issue.

“They’ve been together forever. They’re a great couple.”

Saldana has kept her romance with 33-year-old Britton — an actor and the CEO of website My Fashion Database — fairly quiet.

“She doesn’t even introduce him as her fiancé,” said the source. “She will just say, ‘This is Keith.’ She likes to keep her personal life to herself and wants people to focus on her as an actress.”

And it’s unlikely Zoe will be a bridezilla, the sources says.

“She hasn’t stopped working to plan anything,” said the pal.

No doubt Keith will be a very happy man: Zoe has previously revealed that she “can’t live without” sex!

“I love sex. Love it, love it, love it… Can’t live without it,” she told Essence magazine in March this year.

“I love skin. I don’t believe the body is something to hide.

    • mia

ummmmm dominican is black people im black my self and some dominican skin is darker than mine and my skin is lighter than some doinican people

  • biggethater

Zoe isn’t even black. she is Dominican and Puerto Rican.I’m white by the way and love all types of women for who they are and don’t want to own them.

  • DarkmaleX

She is black. Dominican’s of black descent, you can’t take that away. Period. But she should be able to date/marry a white guy if she wants.

  • TJINLV

TRUE LOVE KNOWS NO BOUNDS. SEX, COLOR, RACE does not matter when you find someone you love …who loves you in return. Life is far too short to deny yourself something as elusive as LOVE. I wish her and her man nothing but joy!

  • WTFNEWS

You know those beer commercials where the barely average joe-looking guys get stunning women interested in them…hello!

  • yoyoyosummerkangol

    @biggethater,

LOL, she’s not black because she’s Puerto Rican and Dominican? What World did you grow up in? That’s like me saying I’m not black because I live in America. Maybe you should figure out what happened during the Atlantic slave trade, before you say something silly. By the way, Domincan and Puerto Rican would be nationalities (but she’s American), her race would be Black, and her ethnicity would be Hispanic, are we clear?

  • Pam

A Comment Zoe is Hispanic/Latina and American yes. However, she still has BLACK BLOOD. Remember any body can be Hispanic or Latin, REGARDLESS of RACE! About the Atlantic Slave trade, African slaves were brought in order to: South, Central America, and the Caribbean islands and lastly the United States. Excuse me, I don’t know why some individuals esp. of Hispanic/Latin ancestry have a problem being called or associated with being BLACK? What’s wrong with being Black? For the record Zoe’s physical FEATURES, show her black ancestry, She is still beautiful, yes! If you didn’t know she was Dominica/Puerto Rican one would think she’s Black American with mixed bloodline. Lastly, many people seem to forget 80% or more of African (Black) Americans have mixed bloodlines even when you can’t see traces of other bloodlines in there features; Esp. Black Americans from the Deep South. I should know I’m from the South. There are plenty of women in the U.S. predominantly on the east coast and deep South that are not Hispanic/Latina that are black that look like Zoe. For Example, Beyonce ancestry is French Creole, Her grandparents also spoke French even though she’s African American. I am Native American,Black and Scots Irish. People mistake me for being Latin, Filipina, Hawaiian, part chinese and East Indian. Yet, I’m Black/African American. Therefore, Zoe could easily be called Black, even though (I know) ethnicity wise she is Latin/Hispanic. Further Educate yourselves about Black Americans/ancestry go to wikipedia.

Great post Pam. I was thinking exactly the same thing. Took the words right out of my mouth. Good on you for understanding the reality of history and its cheaqured past.

  • Michael

Since we’re stereo-typing…… She’s probably into guys that know how to treat a female. I hope it pisses everyone off whenever they see me with my smoking hot African-American Wife of 14 years. “White men only want to OWN you???” LOL! White guys treat African-American women right…….take notes and fix your thinking. Let me guess…. you live in Atlanta don’t you. Bitter. Any successful relationships for you as of late? Didn’t think so. When you get finished scratching your head and wondering why……refer back to your post. :)

  • Iva

Why can Zoe just be happy with whomever she wants to be with? Hispanics are a beautiful mixed race; there are those that consider themselves white latino or black latino–check out the latest Census responses on how Latino view themselves.

However, there is something to be said about when any celebrity reaches a certain status–they have more choices as to who they date.

  • Spade

why is race always an issue with African-American?? Im black and im in an interracial marriage and have 3 kids. And Im so so happy. Let her be happy!!!

  • iy82

all these comments are ignorant! where’s the love and peace? Let Zoe and her man be. They love eachother and they’re getting married. It doesn’t matter who you marry as long as you both love each other and respect one another. Please it’s stupid comments like these that makes this world go bad.

    God bless these two!!!

  • badd

  • Spontaneous

I was SO MAD when I heard this. They dont look right together. What about a black man???

  • Miss Tosh

Zoe Saldana, refers to herself as Black, she has said/stated that Dominicans look down upon her because of her dark skin tone. She said it was hard for her to be accepted there, but she knows she is black and isn’t proud of it, many times, she plays just a black gal, so she is fine with it, cuban ancestry, is what Christina Milian is from, she is fine with being black, yes as someone stated, many Puerto Ricans, Cubans, Brazilians, Dominican’s have the African Ancestry, I am black american, many people think I’m Mexican…I’ve had mexicans, come to me speaking spanish, as one told me I look like the people from mexico city…sometimes, I have even been referred to as Puerto Rican, Mexican/Black, Bi-racial and even Dominican a man approached me that is that race saying I reminded him of his mother, not understanding, didn’t realize that the african features is why we resembled!

  • Miss Tosh

Zoe resembles, Megan goode, that has a lot of native american and irish i believe in her background!

  • Miss Tosh

Whenever she goes to the Dominican Republic, the press asks her if she American or Dominican. She says she is a mujer negra, a black woman. When they tell her no, she is trigueñita, light brown, she answers, “I am a black woman.”

  • Miss Tosh

Saldana was born to Dominican parents in New Jersey. The Wikipedia says her mother is Puerto Rican, but her own website says she is Dominican.

  • Miss Tosh

as she puts it, the one about her ethnicity, she said, “I’m Dominican, Lebanese, Indian, Irish, Jamaican. But I hate going into that. I just say, ‘I’m from Queens.’ “

  • Miss Tosh

Not only does self hate loom in the African American culture in the US it also predominates in the Dominican Republic. The Dominican Republic was inhabited by Christopher Columbus who brought with him many African slaves there to cultivate cotton, sugar cane and other natural goods. Unlike African Americans though the Dominican population was so heavily influenced by Spanish Imperialism in the Island of Hispaniola that most Dominican even charcoal black Dominicans today do not claim themselves as black. Imperialistic colonizers sought to convert the Taino populations of the DR as well as the African population into Christianity. Much of the culture was mixed therefore Dominicans today come in all different shades of Brown.

Actually Zoe is an Afro descendant. Hispanic means people who ancestors came from Spain. Latino/Latina means ancestors came from Latin Europe. The first Latins came from Italy where the original Latins started. The Latin countries that were part of the Roman Empire were Italy, Spain, Portugal, France, & Romania. What Latin means. People in those countries have Latinized names, Roman Catholicism, & Language that was based off Latin. Also remember that Spain used to be called Roman Hispania. Now also this is also why a person from the United States who like California who has family that have lived their for Generations can call themselves Hispanic or Hispano or even Latino without even living in Latin America. The words are being misused these days due to a lack of research on the subject or for self denial purposes.

She wants to disappear into whiteness, anyway.
