MACY Gray says no one wanted to work with her on her new album.

The singer has revealed that she tried — and failed — to get the hottest producers to collaborate on the record.

But Macy insists getting dissed by today’s bright young things actually made her CD better. “My album would probably be real wack or something,” she laughed.

After her last album, 2007′s Big, flopped, Macy wanted to work with “whoever was hot” in the hope of duplicating the triple-platinum success she achieved with her 1999 debut.

Gray recently revealed that she kicked her drug habit to the curb because it was starting to affect her appearance.

“It’s vanity, really,” she said last month. “At a certain age drugs make you look really bad.

“When you’re 20 you can party all night and look good; you wake up, throw on some sunglasses, you look great.

“Once you get into your 30s it takes a long time to shake it off. I was like, ‘I can’t do this anymore, it’s starting to show!’”
