THE stars were out in full force Thursday night for the UK premiere of new movie Twilight Saga: Eclipse.

Noticeably absent from the premiere was the movie’s main stars, Robert Pattinson and Kristen “I HATE EVERYTHING” Stewart.

And the fans weren’t too pleased!

“Rob’s British! He should be here with us,” said one.

“We are absolutely gutted … absolutely devastated,” added one female fan, who admitted to tears.

        We Americans are so very generous. Not 1, Not 2, BUT 3 for the price of 1. I just don’t see how we could be any more fair than that.
        So, it’s settled, we’ll just keep Robert’s hot, yummy goodness here in the States. I just love that little story.

    Ashley – I can’t remember which one (I don’t follow the Jonas brothers), but one of them is starring in the West End at the moment – so that’s probably why he’s there.

    As for the ‘Premiere’

    The British press are really going with the stories of the no shows. The problem is that for the most part they are focussing on Rob (being the hometown kid) and making HIM look back.

    Only a few publications are printing his reasons for not being here (which for the most part all of us understand, only the truly obsessed are not accepting his filming commitments as a valid reason). For the most part they are grouping all THREE leads in the same category and claiming that “no reason has been given for the no show of the stars of the movie”, they’ve used words such as ‘failed to attend’, leaving UK fans disappointed and angry. Some even go as far to say that Kristen and Taylor don’t actually have any work at the moment so why weren’t they there – or at least one of them.

    Personally I don’t mind Rob’s excuse for non-attendance. But I still feel angry at the way the UK fans have been treated as a whole. Only a few weeks ago Kristen and Taylor were in Rome. Could something have been scheduled then? After all what’s a 2 hour plane journey?

      Hiya ladies!

      I agree Kayli. I don’t think they should have snubbed the UK as they did. It really doesn’t make any sense. I would be mad too. And, a valid point about Taylor and Shrew being only 2 hours away a few weeks ago. I have to wonder if Rob sees this or is conerned at all.
      More and more it looks like there is a smear campaign against him and every opportunity available is taken to make him look as badly as possible.
      I hear that he doesn’t want anything to do with the promotion duties, but we all know how Rob loves the UK and would jump at any opportunity to make it home for even a few days. Do you really think that they wouldn’t let him off of WFE to attend the premiere or do you believe he didn’t want the time off and doesn’t really care? At the moment, it is hard to say. This man is really getting some bad press, but it’s due to his own actions/inactions, so you have to wonder if he or they are trying to take some heat away from Shrew.

      Yeah obviously Rob’s working… there were pics of him onset but I agree the other 2 leads could have showed. I’m sure that’s very disappointing and I think the UK fans have reason to be upset. If it were me? I’d boycott it but then… I already am. :)

        the producer, and the fact rob or kris hasn’t debunked it, they all think it was planned, so between that and those premier after party pics……boards are pretty empty for the most part, so they think the nonstens have given up the ghost so to speak, they have claimed “victory” lol

    Why is people getting all annoyed about Taylor, Rob and Kristen not being there. Its been public knowledge for quite a while that Rob and Kristen would not be attending the premier. Well i heard they weren’t going to be there anyways.

    But yeah they should have been there being the lead roles and especially Rob being British.

      It is well publicised that they would not be there. It’s common knowledge. The point is Summit’s OFFICIAL statement is that Rob had his work commitments but there was NO REASON and NO COMMENT as to why Kristen and Taylor would not be there, just that they would not be in attendance.

      To Carla below – Taylor does NOT start filming for a couple of weeks yet, and Kristen is still in the pre-production stage (that is why her hair colour is the shade it is – she still has more treatment until it reaches the blonde required), therefore she would be fully capable of attending had Summit wanted her there.

      Now – people here are assuming that because there is a dislike for Kristen on this boards that is the reason why the UK are so upset. It is not the reason IN THIS CASE.

      The upset and anger is aimed entirely at SUMMIT, Anna Kendrick, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner have all publicly stated that they would have been at the premiere had they have been on the OFFICIAL guest list. They were not placed on it for some reason. That is why the UK feel they have been let down by this company.

      I seriously doubt that our opinion on this board is going to affect Summits decision. ;)
      As far as I’m concerned, you can have Shrew over there for every single premiere for the summer. Or, the rest of the year for that matter!

    SSSOO Ladies, it seems that we all have the chance (lol) to go out on a date with Our beautiful Rob! To be honest, I would have to play 20 questions with hi. Like, why didnt your people write me back? Do you think you are to good for one of my pups? Did you really sleep with KS..lets remember, that when we sleep (have yummy hot sex) with someone we are also sleeping with everyone they slept with. EEEEwww, I just grossed myself out. I had heard they didnt wear contacts in this film, they added the color doring print so the theory of Rob’s acting with his eyes doesnt fit..maybe he is just worn out..he has been a busy young man.

      As for questions….well, I know there are lots I’d want to ask, but it would be kind of hard for him to answer as it is never polite to talk with your mouth full. 8)

As far as asking questions, its a hard pill to swallow but I would never get the chance in real life. I dont doubt that he likes older women but I think going out with me would be a huge stretch. It okay though, I STILL dream of Edward (my idea of him anyway) almost every night. And yes, Jackson is hot (panties on fire hot) but again he is kinda out of my age group. I dont like to think I am old just I was born too early.

    hey everyone! How are you all? glad the weekend is nearly here? anyways i cannot wait to watch eclipse tommorrow!!!! :D

    also yeah as i said on another board last night- i think its pretty disgusting to be quite honest that none of the 3 main stars bother to turn up for the UK premiere- its like we here in britain dont matter- ok so you might be able to excuse rob- even so im sure hes allowed time off from WFE for promotion- but ill still give him a pass- but what are taylor and kristen doing? they are not filming and they were jetting round the world by themselves to other countries yet they snub the UK????!!! like they go to korea, germany and sweden and forget about here?? Nice.

    also why do we have to wait till 9th july to see the movie released widely? im only seeing it tommorrow due to special advanced screenings…. but of course mostly everywhere else has seen it since 30th June….

    I cannot understand when im sure that outside of the US and canada, twilight has the largest english-speaking fanbase in the UK …. why are we never important??

    and no offence to those of you from the states, but they get everything there, fan events, press conferences, twilight and comic cons, chances to meet and greet the cast, etc etc, we get NOTHING here in the UK and ireland and it sucks….. its like we are not thought of, but summit sends the actors to korea of all places???!!! give me a break- rant over lol! sorry!!

    Hey Ashleigh- FYI I’m sad for you guys that none of the 3 majors will be there but actually Kristen and Taylor just started filming their next projects a few days ago, that’s why they couldn’t come either. Rob did do some promotion here in Los Angeles but had to stay local because of WFE… please keep in mind WFE is a big, big production and they allowed him some time but only a few days to promote eclipse. Kristen and Taylor traveled the world interviewing, making appearances and such, they had to make sacrafices somewhere. What they should have done is scheduled the premier in London earlier so that you wouldn’t miss them. I saw the movie, loved it but thought they pushed Jacob too much, and I was pissed about Bella being too strong of a character in the movie and Alice was barely in it! I read an article from the writer on Twilight Moms where she explains that her goal was to make bella more dynamic so she had to sacrafice scenes with Alice holding her prisoner to make bella look more independant… but what the writer doesn’t get is that was the dynamic of the book…. that’s what make the book great. I was upset on the plot that way but the marriage proposal scene in the bedroom was way better in the movie than in the book. Rob pulled it off big time, if I didn’t crush on him before..well let’s just say…he really does it. He is so romantic, so sweet in real life as well… he recently said in an interview that he is old fashioned as well. Oh, spolier… tent scene was funny, fight scenes were great but bella saves the day instead of ruins their momment. I hated that…the third wife thing in the book almost ruined their chances but in the movie she saves the day. It was funny when Peter Faccinelli was coming out of Jimmy Kimmel live the other day from an interview a little old woman came up to him, she must have been in her 80′s and he was expecting her to hug him or ask for his autograph, instead she asked him where Robert Pattinson was….she said where is he..she was desperate to see him….women of all age love the man…what can you say, he’s great!

      anyways from what ive seen of clips on youtube, i agree movie bella and book bella are totally different and i dont like it one bit,,, i dont see why they just cant stick to the storyline of the novel…. bella isnt supposed to be that tough etc…

      also seen a leaked youtube clip of the jacob/bella kiss and i could not believe what happened next= she goes down and just says to edward casually- oh suppose you seen that?? oh but i love you more??? wtf??? that is not how bella reacted at all in the book- she was ashamed and devastated after what she had done to edward…. it makes me angry how they mess up things and destroy them- why would stephanie meyers think thats ok? they def need a new scriptwriter for the next 2 movies…

      I liked the proposal scene too, Sia’s song fit so well, liked how he talked about how in his time he would have courted her, something to be said about old-fashioned romance. Didn’t like the way they set up the Bella/Jacob situation, made it seem as if she knew all along that she was in love with him, not how it was portrayed in the book. Also didn’t like hearing Jacob screaming in pain when Carlisle reset his bones, wasn’t necessary, scene before it set up what he was gonna do, guess that was probably Slade’s idea. Loved the flashback scenes though. And is it just me or is anyone else tired of the fact that Rosenberg doesn’t write in the crying scenes for Bella?
