Robert Pattinson Can Only Make Toast!

Robert PattinsonROBERT Pattinson can’t cook.

The Twilight Saga actor admits he often craves home-cooked food but because his culinary abilities are so limited, he has to rely on room service in hotels.

“In London recently, my hotel had really good room service and I just ate the same thing every day — chicken tikka!” he said.

“I crave a home-cooked meal sometimes, but I only know how to make a piece of toast.”

The British star also admitted spending so much time staying in hotels has made him lazy.

“Hotels have made me more lazy, you can throw the towel on the floor and someone picks it up, and there’s a mini bar,” he said.

The actor — who first found fame playing Cedric Diggory in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire — also spoke about how much he enjoyed fame before the Twilight Saga made him a global superstar.

“There was a really good period just before the first Twilight film came out and I went to an LA club and said, ‘Rob Pattinson — I think I’m on someone’s guest list,’ and he said, ‘Oh, it’s fine’,” Rob reclalled.

“It’s strange, you’ve been refused entry to everywhere for years and all of a sudden all the doors are open to you. Then, four months later, you don’t even want to go to clubs!”

Heheh, I will cook a home cooked meal for Rob any time ;) I grew up with both parents as chefs so I can cook pretty well. Just say the word Rob and I will whip you up some roast beef with Yorkshire puddings. ;)

He’s such a handsome guy. I’d cook for him too!

    To: D,

OB: Below, is part of a post u wrote which had some very good questions I would like to address. Now some of the regulars already know this information. But, I’m using D’s post to clarify the confusion over K selecting R for TW.

Open Book – Thanks! Good to be back!
I have a question for you. Do you think that Summit took a gamble on Rob in casting him as Edward – I suppose as they would have, no matter who was given the role? I need to elaborate and not sure how to word this exactly. Please be patient with me. lol
So, Summit agree’s to pay R with not only money, but another film (RM) and exposure for his friends. Banking that he is not well known enough to A) know any better and B) needed the work/exposure.
OB: I wanted to go back and re-visit one of your questions u asked a few days ago. It appears there is still some confusion as to how movie deals happen with actors in HW.

The reason Summit selected R is because of his HP (Harry Potter) affiliation. HW does not gamble they operate on formulas and guarantees. That’s why it’s virtually impossible to believe K was given authority to select the Principal actor for TW. K’s movies never made huge box office numbers or fans for that matter. Oh! And despite the movie credits and titles K is the co-star not the Principal actor for TW. Please see the explanation on the “R/K/TL Hit the Black Carpet” board starting with post #35. Then follow the threads posted by open book! Addressing Lurker’s post and the questions asked by the regulars for further insight on this topic.

Open Book- your exactly right! Kristen may have made the comment to KH that she liked Rob the best but the studio execs and Katherine make the final decisions. Directors do have a say in who the cast will be, but not the other actors unless of course they are producers as well.

Rob was the best and still is the best person to play the character Edward. I don’t think Twilight would have been as compelling with a different actor. I saw the other actor who came in as runner up he was in Skateland with Ashely Green… he can’t hold a candle to Rob’s good looks. Rob fits the description of Edward tall, slender, sculptured features, tosseld hair. I noticed that in Eclipse he hardly sparkled, it was a bit disappointing in the last meadow scene that they were in the sun and no sparkle. But he pulled it off anyways with his fabulous good looks.
