Answer: During the first two weeks a movie is out is crucial to earn as much money as it can. The longer a movie is out it cost more money to have in theaters and Studios begin to loose money. After the third week numbers start to fall. Eclipse will do fine this weekend and will start to fall off next weekend.

The reason why Eclipse is good short term because of huge BO numbers but the problem is know one knows if it’s because of R. The huge BO numbers can be because of Robsten,R/TL/K or TL/K etc…

What consumers can do to help R is to support BA! If he can get huge BO numbers for BA than it will give him options which does not involve PR Robsten.

Currently Bel-Ami does not have a US distributor. It has distributors for UK, Germany, Greece, France, Brazil, Indonesia, Australia, Italy, and Korea.
Bel Ami also has deals for Russia and Netherlands. Sales rep Protagonist Pictures may have a N. American deal in the works. Protagonist (the company that made BA) is an indie foreign film company.

Protagonist is going to release BA in limited (foreign) release in November 2010 in time for the award season. It is hoping after that to open for wider release. But that’s all contingent on how well it does in limited foreign release.

However, there are a lot of R supporters in the US that I’m sure want to see BA. IMO: If there were enough R supporters in the US got together (and signed a petition) this would help R in the short and long term. There is a a petition for getting BA distributed in the US the link is below.

Kristen said in an interview that filming for OTR will start in August, but that there will 4 weeks of rehearsal July.

I read months ago that there were no plans for the three to attend Comic Con. Eclipse has already been released and production for Breaking dawn doesn’t begin until late October early November.

The decision for them to attend or not has nothing to do with their relationship (if there is one) but it is a business decision by Summit. If their bosses felt that they needed them to attend, believe me these professional people would be there.

OMFG! “Why Summit Needs to Reduce R’s Fan base?”

The reason Summit needs to reduce R’s fan base because it’s actually threatening Summits ability to make money with BD 1 & 2. R’s fan base does not want to support Robsten or K. R’s fan base is quite huge! R is #2 on the IMDB star meter that’s quite amazing for one celebrity. However, basic economics? Summits realized after they created Robsten the fans were splitting up. BAD! BAD! BAD! Sign. But Summit thought they could resolve things by highlighting TL in NM and marginalize R role. But Summit only made things worse and R’s popularity soared even higher.

The majority of fans that support K, TL and Robsten are teens. What do we know about teens? They see movies multiple times, which is good for BO. But R’s fan base the majority are adults, I would say ¾ adults and ¼ teen. Adults will only see a movie once maybe twice if it’s really good. This is bad for BO?

“Economics”
After NM came out R’s teen fan base began to grow. Now remember R’s fan base does not support Robsten, which mean, they will not support K or the TW movies as aggressively. So what do we have R’s fan base is 60% to K/TL and Robsten’s combined fan base total equals 40%. This is bad for Summit but good for R! Good for R because he can go off and do other roles in the future because he is in such high demand. Bad for Summit, because they want to make money in the short term, and they can’t, with the house divided in this way. The only option Summit has is to go after R’s teen fan base whom are a lot more impressionable then adults. This is the only way Summit can survive, they need to reduce R’s fan base. So the smear campaign against R began. So what do we have? R’s role in Eclipse marginalized, K’s scandal media stunts, R not appearing at the UK premiere, the EW article Nerd and Queen insult etc… All were attempts to reduce R’s fan base to force R into supporting Robsten which Summit would acquire R’s teen fan base with the merger. So after the merger it would look like R’s fan base about 45% and K/TL and Robsten combined fan base would be about 55%. Summit was willing to gamble R’s 45% fans, which are adults who they figured would concede under peer pressure and heavy marketing of Robsten.

R knows it is in his best interest and wants to keep his large fan base this is what guarantees him future work? Like I said before Summit and K did not know until the Oprah show how big R’s fan base had become. Oprah did a pole of her viewing audience and R’s popularity was off the charts. O wanted to do a show just featuring R but Summit would not allow it!

Summit and K appeared to have joined forces and began to work together to reduce R’s fan base. However, Summit could not predict how far K would go in her efforts. Which left Summit with a huge mess to clean up. Now R is left to do DC to save his reputation, his fan base and BO now that Summit and K has created such a mess. However, it was always Summits and K’s goal to cripple R in such a way that would force R to support Robsten and it worked. Now Eclipse after this weekend will be lucky if it can maintain the #2 spot at the BO. See link below.

A few weeks ago u could see R fighting back hard against the smear campaign, supporting Robsten and K but after getting bad reviews and his fan base turning against him it’s made him doubtful. His decision to throw in the towel to protect BO for Eclipse was his only option. That is why it is important for R’s supporters to get behind him and support Bel-Ami because this will offer R options he currently does not have. Supporting BA will prove R’s demand and guarantee he can bring in BO numbers independently outside of the TW franchise.

Sorry for the dissertation but I thought I needed to summarize my hypothesis over the past two months for everyone who are regulars and new to the site. i’m actually beginning to suspect,that some regulars here are underpaid summit workers who are jealous of the high paychecks thrown at kstew. They seem to know summit from the insides and they have some unadressed payroll issues and went on a crusade. Tsk,tsk.
