Robert Pattinson: ‘Courtney Love is a Dick’

Robert PattinsonROBERT Pattinson has branded Courtney Love a “dick”.

The Twilight actor lashed out at the Hole rocker after she criticized rumors he was set to play her late husband Kurt Cobain in a Nirvana biopic.

“Sometimes these things just appear,” Pattinson said of the rumors.

“I love Nirvana, but I love them a bit too much – I’d be embarrassed. And you see all these comments, like from Courtney Love, saying ’What the f*ck! He’s totally wrong for it’, and I’m like, ’I f*cking said no, you dick!’

“I didn’t get offered it. For one thing, I’m too tall, and I can’t sing like him, I’m nothing like him!’ It’s ridiculous.”

Rob, 24, is currently shooting a movie with Reese Witherspoon.

        Not quite as bad but I remember reading every time he was asked to to a a retake in new moon it was F… and when you look back at some of the interviews he swears like a sailor too.It is down to immaturity, looking cool and habit!!

        I never consider him as mature. I’m not his fans, and I don’t like him much. Mainly because of his immaturity, once I saw a pic of him smoking in front of the child who acted in RM while filming, not to mention set a bad example in front of her, but also forced her to inhale his 2nd hand smoke. It’s much worse than swearing. I can see why he and KS are best friend, they are similar type people.

        He does not swear around his sisters, moms, ladies and in formal interviews. His generation think cursing is as natural as breathing and sex with strangers is cool.

        In Harper’s Magazine, the interviewer commented on how gentlemanly he was towards her and offered his jacket.

        His language is worse than some and better than most. He has given the f sign with his hand on his hat He is not a saint. I never said he was.

        eagles: I read the article you linked. It is called damage control. He knows that the theme of the books and his comments are being used as talking points and discussed on the net. The paps have asked him really disrespectful questions. He does not champion or ridicule sex before marriage. IF YOU READ IT CAREFULLY, it is up to the individual and what they believe and want. He is trying to not alienate people by sounding like he wants to push his beliefs and endorse celibacy as a platform. HE IS NOT doing that. He does not talk about what he believes BECAUSE he knows that is the point of the interviewer’s question.

        Gosh, I am sure he would never say what he did in those past interviews if he knew it would cause so much trouble.

        I wish that I had never shared the videos with you people back in February. I was aware of it because of a youth group that I was involved in. The teens were talking about what Rob said about his faith and saying he is not having sex. IT DOES NOT MEAN THAT HE NEVER HAD IT…he SAID HE IS NOT HAVING SEX. Asexual. SO WHAT.

        I thought by sharing it here, people would knock off the banging Kristen and pregnant not to mention gay stuff. Instead it made you people dislike him and think that he must be lying. I really give up.

        In addition, he knows that the last thing he needs is to be perceived as a boy or a “devout religious guy” if he wants to be considered for many parts. The fans won’t like him as much if he viewed as a nice guy. They only like pigs and cads. You know the kind of guys that love ‘em and leave them and use women as tissues. NOW that is really sexy. I love a good cad personally. I am so happy that the world is full of really creepy guys that break girls hearts and leave them knocked up. Our world needs more fatherless kids and women on welfare from the dads walking out.

        How silly of Rob to moral, decent, respectful to women, romantic, tender and serious about who he sleeps with in today’s messed up world.

        The only thing that will make people happy here is if Rob gets arrested for drugs, is in a strip club, is seen with 2 women in a bed (at least 2 and a guy for good measure) and he comes out and says “I get shagged nightly”. Then you guys will be so smug and give each other high fives and celebrate that Rob fell from grace is a typical guy with his shoes under a different bed nightly.

        Did it occur to any of you single, divorced and ignored by men women here that the reason marriage is down is because sex with strangers is still acceptable. I grew up in the same world you guys did. If women behaved more like their moms did in the past, like ladies and valued their virginity, would that be so bad? When the progressives pushed their agenda in the 60′s and 70′s, society changed. Less church, less marriage, fewer kids born in wedlock.

        For me to share the good message that Rob, Taylor Swift and a few more have the courage to stand by is not a bad thing. Rob says stars are not role models because he does not want to be viewed that way and knows his whack job costar is a lousy one. Summit should put KS on lock down.

        If Robert believes in no sex before marriage then he should not compromise. He should state his beliefs and should not be afraid of losing fans because of said beliefs. There is no mid ground. Either you believe in no sex before marriage or believe in sex before marriage.

        I do not believe that Robert is celibate.

        eagles: I believe he is celibate but that does not mean that he is “pure”. It’s fine if you think the opposite.
        When he announced his beliefs and said he was not involved with anyone, he did stand by his ideals and principles. All he said when asked (which he should not have been) is “I talk too much”. Now he has been urged to make sure that the word is out that he is not a prude or some weirdo. He accepts people for who they are….AS YOU ALL SHOULD.

        He never says anything about himself anymore for the very reason that it gets twisted. He will never be the same guy he was in fall 2008—-not that long ago people. He is now scripted thanks to the jaded people like many here are and the gays of H wood like Ted Casablanca of The Awful Truth and Perez Hilton.

        We will never know what is going on his head now. He has a filter FIRMLY in place thanks to what the blogs and gossip rags did to him. The mocking, the name calling the lying about him did what it was intended to do. The progressives want morality, faith and values to go away. How better to do that then to silence someone who dared to be open about his own. That’s why the hunger is there to see him fall….it is founded on anti-Christian feelings. They want this guy to be humiliated.

        That is why he said that people are always eager to tear you down once you have made it. Someone in H wood wants Rob’s career to nose dive. I say it is the girl who he said no thanks to– Kristen.

        When I say that Ted C and Perez (gay) going after him I mean that they want to hurt him if he is a Catholic and not for abortion and gay marriage. Perez asked him about it at Much in 2008. He skirted it. I would have said bugger off.

      Thanks Open book, RomanticFool should read that one. She is of the opinion that Robert is celibate. He may be of the Roman Catholic upbringing but he believes in sex before marriage. It was interesting that he called the cast of WFE the best he have ever worked with.

        He was too young and dumb to know that to be viewed as cool, he has to screw 80 people before he is 25.
        Why do you think KS said he can’t lie? Why did the wolf pack say the one word that describes Rob “patient”. Why did he say recently “I’m a bit old fashioned like Edward”. Why did he say on Twi set that he would be like Edward and jump out the window when things got too intimate in the scene in his room with Bella.

        SICK world. Again, I don’t make it up, I report it. In your fantasy worlds of Rob banging the entire population of New South Wales and London floats your boat GO FOR IT.

        I state what he says NOT what I think he meant when he said something. I really wonder about the education system there if so many seem to get entirely different takes on what he says than most of the fans in the US get.

        Well what can I say. Those re-inforced crystal chandeliers really do put a dampener on the old intimate moments if not screwed in correctly – especially if the chandelier happens to be placed above a very good imitation venus de milo artifact. Similarly when recording such ‘moments’ always keep the recording equipment tripod away from areas where delicate appendages may come into contact. It is entirely possible that after *cough* riding an elephant for so long that a similar affliction has occurred. And that my dear regulars is an entirely plausible reason to become celibate.

        There are going to be some highly disappointed ladies in the Britpack circle if this information is true ;-)

      I think when Robert is interviewed without K, it seems as though he is well spoken and handles the questions very well. Then if you look at his interview with K it seems he becomes awkward and unsure of himself. This is just my opinion. The last interview I read with him and K was the interview in which K had made some very rude remarks and he was just kind of there in the background. I have to say I really hope this is the real Robert as he sounds just lovely.

        I have seen 3 interviews where she glares at him. Once on New Moon tour with UK and Wales fans (even the interviewer commented on the dirty look she shot him) and once on the Today Show in 2008 when he laughed too loud with his mouth open big. She did the same look when he was asked if he had a crush on her and he said oh sure. She looked disgusted and rolled her eyes. Like I said, he did not have much game and is not like Edward…he is just a good actor.

        Another time was when they were making NM and she was so hostile to him. HELL has no fury like a woman scorned.

        It slayed KS to be told by Rob you ain’t that great chick.

      Hi Open Book, I really liked this interview, posted back to you on the Leo board as well, I thought the interviewer was very clever and asked some good questions covering new ground or at the very least taking a different POV on areas that had been covered before. That to me made his answers more interesting and he seemed more open in it.

      IMO: If R feels he’s being set up in an interview he’s either extremely bizarre or extremely comedic? However, when he’s more comfortable u see glimpse of his personal ethos. Yes! Doing an interview on guard all the time can make u crazy. Especially with K or Summit lurking waiting to pull a stunt. That could make anyone appear nonsensical during an interview!

      Overall! I thought the interview was good and showed more of what R really cares about his work! R loves acting, learning and growing and being around actors he wants to emulate. He recognizes the difference between working with serious successful actors versus tabloid/personality types. R has clearly made that very clear in this article. Good Job R!

      More Advice: Sorry! R remember don’t put limitations on yourself don’t settle for mediocrity. That goes for your professional as well as personal life. People don’t realize when surrounded by it all the time but if u eat enough crap eventually u will produce, look and speak cipher. Please read and quote more books if u can. Books can be used as an elucidation tool as well!!! Your supporters love reading books!

      P.S. Did u know in the CA dessert u can find Hammerhead snakes and Kangaroo Rats they are very unique and interesting sight to see, if u never have? Check them out, the rats are abundant in the evening, the snakes come out in the afternoon.

        Yes, I like when Rob quotes from books, it really shows how intelligent he really is. He isn’t just a pretty face. That is probably why I enjoy his interviews so much, he really is a very complex individual that I feel like I could hold a great conversation with.

        I do wonder though with KS’s commentary on The Runaways dvd, causing the thoughts of KS being a lesbian once again, if this will mean that Summit will pull the send Rob for some PR in Montreal card. What is your feeling on this?

        ITA if a man said those things about Dakota, the police would be called. I’ve not seen the movies or the photos but just from reading KS comments they are provacative.

        I might be way of base here but shouldn’t something be done about the fact that she even SAID that?

        No one knows if she really does have the photos but just saying it makes her sound like a child predator IMO.

    If you read the interview correctly, he doesn’t call her a dick. He is referring to “fake” articles about the subject. Tabloid stuff. That Coutney said “He is wrong” and his reply was “your a dick”. That why celebs hate giving interviews. No matter what they say, it’s taken out of context.

      I do get defensive. I find it strange how everyone seems to think he is a liar, a play boy and thinks defaming him is nice.

      I also don’t like being mocked and sneered at. I am a trusting person and like I said, I accept what people say until their actions, words or photos prove differently.
      This interview is nothing more than a “whatever floats your boat” damage control. I should never have shared the interviews all over the net.

      It had only 30 K views when I first started, now it’s 1.5 million because it got passed around so much. I heard people talking about it in the grocery store and unlike here, they were impressed and pleased.

      It is only in the UK that they seem to have an issue with their native son being what he seems, Rob is smart, decent, sweet, introspective, kind, moral, romantic, articulate, well-read, cerebral and serious is not liked in the UK.

      They like their stars to be pigs and have many illegitimate kids and mistresses. That is how they like their stars.

      America was founded by religious people. Europe is almost Godless so they don’t accept faith and values like we do here in the US. It is too late for the UK and Europe. It is not too late for the US to embrace our roots again. It is good for society and our kids.

        That is a sad commentary on it’s occupants.

He says at the end that “nobody wants to commit to me”, he does not understand it. His parents were there too.
