The Hollywood heartthrob says he likes grow a mustache so he can walk around unnoticed when he’s out in public.

“I wanted to go to the Coachella music festival, be in the crowd, and see the bands without any VIP bull,” he said.

“So I grew a kind of prepubescent mustache, and nobody recognized me. It was so liberating, and all it took was that!”

Efron — who’s dating former costar Vanessa Hudgens — revealed last year that he “can’t handle” the paparazzi.

“To be honest, I can’t handle the paparazzi,” he revealed. “They’re everywhere. One of them was in a dumpster trying to take my photo the other day. It was crazy!

“Another time, one was hanging off the back of a pick-up truck driving down a road. They think they’re being clever, but they’re not.

“I’d love to take a year off and travel the world under the radar. I would love to do it really low-key.

“I wouldn’t need to stay in fancy hotels or anything; I just want to explore – but I don’t know how I’d do it. Maybe I’d shave my head to try and go incognito? Yeah, that’s what I’d do.”

    Why tell everyone your secret disguise if you’re TRULY trying to hide. If the paparazzi did NOT follow this kid, he’d have half the money and notoriety he has now. Ridiculous.

    @Brian I totally agree with you, It’s like this quote I read about celebrity or being famous, “People spend their whole lives trying to be noticed, but than once they become famous they wear shades so no one will recognize them” May not be word for word but you get the gist of it.
