NEVERLAND RANCH TO BECOME A MICHAEL JACKSON MEMORIAL PARK?

NeverlandMICHAEL Jackson’s Neverland Ranch could become a memorial park for the King of Pop.

The late Bad hitmaker — who died of acute Propofol intoxication in June 2009 — hadn’t lived at the address since he was cleared of child molestation charges in 2005, and handed over the estate to Colony Capital LLC, a private equity firm, amid financial worries in 2008.

But now, state assembly member Mike Davis has revealed he proposes to apply to the California State Senate for backing to turn the disused site into a Michael Jackson-style Graceland.

Owned partly by the Jackson estate, Neverland currently lies dormant, a far cry from its heyday when the singer wrote many of his greatest hits at the site — complete with zoo and Ferris wheel — and entertained hundreds of children with parties.

However, Mr. Davis suggested as California’s budget deficit currently stands at $19 billion, it would be difficult for the State Parks Department to purchase the property alone, and therefore proposes a public-private partnership to put the plan into action.

Meanwhile, several members of the Official Michael Jackson Fans of Southern California Group have offered to clean the pop legend’s vandalized Great Masoleum at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale, California — the singer’s final resting place — after other fans defaced the building with tributes written in permanent ink.

The group say they want cemetery officials to realize not all of the late star’s supporters are vandals.

Mr. Davis needs to pull his head out of his ass. If the state decides to purchase Neverland Ranch, then maybe they want to help me with a mortgage that is under water. The bank sure as hell won’t help. Mr Davis is an idiot. He must be a huge Michael Jackson fan. Michael Jackson was like ANY other drug ABUSER. Michael Jackson is ONLY in the same category as Elvis as a wealthy musician and a drug Abuser. Elvis and Michael are both dead because of their drug abuse.

    I thought it was being bought by an undisclosed Arab Prince for about $95,000,000??? I remember reading the article because it even included the main gates. HRH Arfaq was helping the prince with the acquisition. Is this not going through now?

    I would love to visit Neverland. It’s a good idea anyway to use it for a Michael Jackson Memorial, I would certainly visit it if it was open to the public :) ))))

    yes i heard that, one of michael jackson’s previous managers, hrh arfaq had put an offer in for neverland for an arabian prince for an astonishing price. to me it would not matter who bought neverland as long as it was open to the public well michael jackson fans to visit in the future.

    michael jackson was a music icon and is certainly a music legend.

Have any of them given to anyone else besides themselves. Michael had humanitarian awards. The families have admitted they lied especially Jordan, They dont know Michael did anything wrong.     Michael,gave us his best on the stage and we all need to respect that kind of talent.That was his home and turning it to a park will not only keep his music and memory alive but also bring money into california which we all know needs it.Lots of people will travel from other parts of the world to just come and feel that close to Michael.So all those guys in california against this need to swallow their pride and let it be a memorial park.

    = I read an article on google the other day that both the state of california and the arab prince (through arfaq) is still interested in the acquisition. I would visit if the arab prince/arfaq or the state of california kept it as neverland, they have to do that surely?????
