Christina Aguilera’s Record Company in Panic Mode Over Album Flop

Posted by Adam

Christina AguileraCHRISTINA Aguilera‘s career is in meltdown mode — and her record label’s furious!

According to New York Post gossip column Page Six, RCA are in “rescue mode” because Aguilera’s new album, Bionic, is doing so poorly.

The record — which has been out for around five weeks — hasn’t even managed to sell 200,000 copies. It debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard charts and quickly fell out of the Top 10.

“Christina wants to compete with her peers, but there is a disconnect because, over the years, she’s been a mother and a wife, not a rocker,” a source said.

“The label has done its part, but she’s headstrong. There have been candid conversations between her and the label about connectivity, but it doesn’t seem that she’s been open to that dialogue.”

    Christina,
I love your new album Bionics. It is a little different style than that of the past, but girl it is fresh, hip and now! You are one the most talented musicians of today and all time. Not too many have a vocal range that compares or can keep up with you. What a voice!
Maybe you need to reconsider the promotors and not the label or album. Your talent needs to be widely promoted on an extremely large scale and I don’t think they are accomplishing that for you.
Keep on keepin on girl…..Love always from one of your biggest #1 fans Michelle

I love Bionic, I love Christina, It’s so sad to see that people don’t really appreciate a good artist when they have one right in front of them. Lyrics is not the problem, just listen to music/lyrics like the ones Rihanna, Lady Gaga, Beyonce, Madonna, Miley Cyrus, Drake, Eminem, Katy Perry, Nikky Minaj, M.I.A. and so many artist out there i can mention, that really don’t give anything to the teenagers this days. It is truly sad to read this.

Bionic is great. the only problem here is the haters who’s trying to put her down. she’s great. she didnt deserve this

America NEEDS talent like Christina Aguilera. But it’s too bad that all they care about is to feed the drama/scandal industry of Hollywood in an attempt to make them feel better about themselves. Sad!

    christina aguilera’s career is over.So is Britney’s.
They were the stars of the 00s, end of 1999. Now, 10 years later they are about to dissappear. What they sold they sold. Now it’s Lady Gaga’s time, Katy Perry’s, Kesha’s etc. They will sell records till 2020, and then, some new artists will conquer the music industry. Thats the truth guys. Careers today last the highest 10 years. no more all time classic artists.
Relax Christina and spend the millions you’ve made so far. You dont have to be in the front line anymore. You made enough money over the last decade.

what?? britney spears career is over?? You must be kidding.

Do u knw what happend to her Circus album and her latest concert?? FYI, Britney is still on the top of her game and will always be. Just to update you, Britney has been certified by the RIAA to have reached 100+ million in sales for her album worlwide, thus making her the BIGGEST SELLING ARTIST OF THESE DECADE. (search for it)

She’s currently workng for her next album. and we can’t wait for it. i swear it will not be a FLOP!

This is just sad, because she has an amazing voice, as well as great style.
I’m annoyed with the electro-pop phase, NOT because I dislike electro-pop. But rather, because we the indie electro-pop artists who specialize in this kind of music, have been trying to make it for years with a style that has been trying to re-gain mainstream attention for the past 2 decades, and the record companies use us as their inspirations, take our style and have it on a polished plate handed to mainstream artists, awaiting their vocals to be electronically manipulated, and then the complete package sold as mainstream pop music. It’s a gamble trying to get in the door. As for David Guetta, he’s an amazing artist, as is a remixer, but in the club world there are many of him, who can create catchy verses, choruses, ect. In this industry it’s who you know that makes the difference, not how great you are. I hope Christina doesn’t completely sell out to this current phase, because within the next 3 to 5 years, it just might be gone.
