Robert Pattinson Learned to Run For ‘Eclipse’

Robert PattinsonROBERT Pattinson had to learn how to run for new Twilight movie Eclipse.

The hunky British actor — who plays vampire Edward Cullen in the sexy film franchise — told the UK’s Reveal magazine that he had to hit the treadmill in preparation for the saga’s third installment.

“I had to learn how to run properly. In the last two films, I ran in a limp/skip,” he said.

“I had to run more solidly this time so I spent a lot of time on a giant treadmill. It was like one of those things that mice run around in.”

Rob, 24, recently admitted he was “confused” as a teenager.

“I don’t think I was that angry as a teenager, although I will confess to being confused and frustrated. I suppose I could be a bit of a pain at times,” he said.

“I think it takes time to find one’s identity and define one’s ambitions in life. Then you grow bored with being disillusioned and alienated and now I’m trying to enjoy things more. It’s less stressful! You don’t have to change the world to be happy.”

    i agree with vampire nerd girl rob run as fast as you ca n away from kristen the shrew. she is going to ruin your life. she is playing hell with her career and is trying to drag you down too. we love you rob and we really care. dont want to see you hurt ever. she will surely be hated if she does hurt you. i hope that you guys are just friends because you have two different personalities. you are warm,caring,funny adorable,and decent while she is just the opposite. dont let the sexuality of twilight fool you. once the fantasy of twilight is over,you will see the real kristen. i loved remember me,you are a terrific actor without kristen,so may you always be happy,healthy and safe.

    totally Agree on the terrific actor and his peronality etc…but again, I’m telling you all … he and Kristen are just friends… so don’t worry. Rob’s not stupid, he knows what he is doing and there are smart people around him who won’t let him F-up. They have too much invested in him and his career. Not to mention he has fantastic parents to help him.

    I wish Mr. Pattinson will work out his upper body also. He is a tall man and smokes a lot – so that his chest is underdeveloped (kind of) and he slouches as all tall people are. If he would be a little more beefy and muscular in his upper body and carry himself around with a good posture, he will be even more good looking!

    About the article … I always thought Edward sometimes had graceful movements because that’s the way Stephanie describes how vampires moved. Like in New Moon, when Edward goes to the volturi to learn of their decision, he moves with grace. I liked that walk for that reason. And when he ran with Kristen in Alice’s vision, wasn’t that supposed to be with vampire grace? Yet he still had a great manly way like when he met Bella’s father for the first time in Twilight or when … actually most of the time. I suppose fitness was needed for the cast for the fight scenes in Eclipse.

    …Rob confused as a teen isn’t much different that the rest of us. I hope he embraces himself the way many fans embrace him … and enjoys spending a little money on himself as he is now blessed with much. Good for him and us that he is in a working mode making movies! He’ll know true love when he finds it. What’s the rush anyway!

    To: Lisa, VNG and Regulars,

    What’s important to realize is that u will hear some outrageous stories about R from here on out. Summit/K are all about media/scandal and oversaturation remember? R is not one to play that game and has stated that. Instead R is about the work and getting credibility based on doing the work!!!! Not based on getting quick attention by appearing in every tabloid magazine and creating scandal to get peoples attention off of their horrible performances.

    It takes hard work to produce quality films meaning u need to focus and think about the work to get quality. U can’t be a serious actor if you’ve spent all your time dreaming up and creating spectacles for the tabloids. So far K and Summit that’s all they’ve done and they both produce redundant crappy work. Now I think the thing to question is Summit/K’s priorities. For example: are Summit/K in the movie making business or in the media/scandal making business?

    To: VNG and Lisa,

    VNG-Until it’s announced officially by a movie studio I would not hold onto a rumor. Yes, R was at Dreamworks in discussion of possible work but things change all the time. Nothing can be set in stone until a movie studio commits to a filming location and even that can be tenuous. Only until money starts to change hands can u be certain. And in the case of an animated movie not until the movie has been edited do u really know for sure. So wait until R or the movie studio makes an announcement because that will be evidence that R and the studio have reached an agreement and are committed to work together.

    Lisa- R stated a few day ‘s ago he likes the idea of taking two months off without speaking to anyone! However, I’m sure R will choose and do what he feels is best to get prepared for six months of shooting BD. IMO: I think he should go to a secluded island for two months.

      Thanks Open Book! I have to agree with Lisa. He really does need to take some time away on a secluded island or at least back here to the UK. He’s been busy for most of the year. First with BA from February to May, plus promoting RM in March. Then filming WFE from May to July, plus promoting Eclipse.

        As for the name, don’t worry, you’re forgiven! A sad Shrew fan kept calling me the same thing yesterday. There was a big difference between you though. She had a poor standard of education, (poor grammer/spelling etc), and you are very well educated to rip apart all the Robsten crap! LOL

      I have read your previous posts pertaining to how Summit’s business and marketing department destroyed Twilight by wrestling the franchise away from the creative department. And I suppose this is why Eclipse sucked as badly as it did and possibly why the franchise will probably end up owing money when the summer is over.

      But what do you think; can Bill Condon save the franchise? After all he is an Oscar Award winning Director; he even got an Oscar for a singing/musician Jennifer Hudson with Dream girls. Now that Summit has an undeniable failure and financial lose on its hands won’t they turn the reins over to Condon so he can save this sinking ship (a metaphor I think you have frequently made). Isn’t Condon a lot less likely to put up with the back biting and micro-managing that they treated Slade to? Isn’t it likely that we will hear a lot less Robsten garbage the next time around? Doesn’t Summit need to recoup the reputation they lost with Eclipse.

      By the time the movie premieres, shouldn’t fans be ready to give Twilight a second chance? Other than new listless stares, I certainly do not expect better work from Kristen. Obviously we can always rely on Rob to perform his best. At least one of Rob’s new movies will have premiered, shouldn’t audiences be ready to give him and the franchise a second review. By the time Breaking Dawn premieres, Taylor will have shot and (we all will have) seen his first movie holding the principle actor position. Don’t you think he’ll have a lot to prove now that he will be back with his old Twilight family?

      Have I presented a credible scenario for a Twilight come back or rebirth given that many fans still remain transfixed with the books and franchise? For an example of continued fan interest please see the articles below.

    I think Rob will not disappoint his fans…he hasn’t yet. really… the not appearing at the premier thing was petty considering that poor guys schedule. Kstew and Lautner on the other hand I fault more. Think about what Rob has done over the past few years…
    Little Ashes, How to Be, Twilight, promoting Twilight, New Moon, Remember Me, promoting New Moon, Promoting Remeber Me, filming Eclipse, Bel Ami, Water for Elephants, promoting Eclipse at the same time, attending premiers for all of the movies above as well..sorry left that out..premiers all over mind you not just in LA. and then after WFE he starts filming breakding dawn then promoting Bel Ami and WFE, then filming Unbound Captives and promoting Breaking Dawn part 1. Please if he get’s a month or two off in between to rest that would be nice. He is the hardest working actor in Hollywood and those damn critics better not show their assinine attitudes.

    When I say petty… I meant on the part of the fans. I really think the fans can be unreasonable. It’s not his fault people waited for hours to see him when clearly it was announced wayyyy ahead of time that he would not be appearing. Did the fans just have their heads burried in the ground or were they that dingy that they would wait all that time for nothing. Frankly I refuse to wait like that for anyone. I didn’t even wait to see the movie.. got tickets for the midnight showing along with showings in the same night of twilight and new moon just before so I got to see 7 1/2 hours of TW saga in the theater with breaks and relaxing while others camped out just to see the midnight showing… they camped out all day. How stupid…for $30.00 I got to see three great films, plus a $10.00 gift card came with the package and a neat Eclipse backstage pass for around your neck. It was like a big slumber party, now worrying about seats.. It was full but not too full so where we were cramped. everyone had a great time.

    Obviously everyone has gone to bed for the night… but hey… I was just watching Jay Leno on the Tonight Show and his guest was Zac Efron. Is it me or is he a total Robert Pattinson want-a-be? Lately on all the red carpet events his hair is messy and sticking up in the front, he is constantly putting his hand through his hair and giving the camara that “i’m sexy” look that only Rob gives just right. I’m sorry if you like him but frankly.. he is not original and he has totally stolen Rob’s look. He’s not all that and knows it. Maybe he’s jealous. His hair resembles Rob’s hair in the original TW movie but just a bit shorter. I used to have some respect for the guy. Don’t get me wrong he is nice looking but he needs to make his own identity no copying Zac!

    O.k. Now, back to business now that I’ve had my fun…………. Yes! K is being flushed out more but like I said K does not owe anyone anything. However, I think HW needs to change the way they treat the bi, gay and lesbian community. It’s so ridiculous the way they are so disrespected in HW for their contribution to the Arts. I think if K did come out it would actually be good for the BGL community to have a young person embrace and take up there causes. It actually would do wonders for the BGL community given she has so much attention on her at the moment. But this is a huge commitment given how our society still treats the BGL community it can be risky. I wrote about this more in detail on the other board.

      I did read your post about the BGL community and it is very interesting. It is funny we really haven’t made to many strides in our society on many different areas one being BGL community and the other would be equality of Woman. It is really hard to live in a society with different rules for different parts of that society.
