SELENA GOMEZ WANTS TO BE THE NEXT RACHEL MCADAMS

Selena GomezSELENA Gomez wants to follow in the footsteps of fellow actress Rachel McAdams.

The teen sensation says she’d love to have a career like the The Time Traveler’s Wife star.

“I would love to model my career after hers,” Selena said.

“She’s brilliant. She chooses smart roles, reinvents herself for every role. I admire that and hope I’m able to do that myself in my career.”

Gomez says she leads a rather “boring” life — which is why she manages to stay out of the tabloids.

“I’m boring,” she said. “I spend time with my family, hang out with my mom and with a few friends. That’s what works for me. Boring.{

“My mom doesn’t want me to grew up too fast,” she adds. “I’m 18, but younger than that at heart. I’m not going to do anything that I’m not comfortable doing.

“I’m fully aware of my audience. I may hope and dream of having an older audience some day, for my film and TV work and my music. But now, the people who have been with me over the past four years are these 7- to 15-year-olds who have given me my job. If a little girl tells her mom, ‘I want to see the new Selena Gomez movie’ or ‘buy the new Selena Gomez CD,’ I would hope that their parents could say ‘absolutely’ without having to second-guess it or second-guess me.

“So there’s a transition coming. I’m just not there yet.”

    My daughters like her. I hope she grows gradually and doesn’t got the route of Miley Cyrus. Miley Cyrus is trying to become an adult and leaving the fan base that made her a celebrity. My youngest daughter used to admire Miley(Hannah Montanna) but is somewhat not to accepting of her new image. Selena songs are somewhat teenage to adult, I am 40 and enjoy her music. She is mature without dressing up like a tramp, she doesn’t need feathers.

    This girl is extremely talented as an actress and possibly as a singer as well.
    She seems very grounded, confident, personable and smart. She will likely go far and it will fun to watch unlike Cyrus, who can not sing and is being milked by her equally talentless dad.

    I love Selena. To me she’s perfect. It’s nice to have a celebrity, who’s actually worth liking. I normally do not like any celebrities because nowadays celebrities are horrible. But now I’m so happy that someone like Selena is such a big star, she deserves it unlike the other celebrities out there.
