ASH. It is pretty common. My whole family gets it from time to time. Sometimes brought on by stress. Blood sugar can be a culprit also. Not alot of treatment for it. Your dr. will know of any new treatment. When I get it I wait till it passes.But I have become so used to it there is no fear which I feel makes it worse. I barely ever get it anymore.

Though I absolutely dispise the paparazzi, what concerns me just as equally is the re-editing of any film, bought to suit ones own agenda; do we not live in a freedom of speech democracy. I expect polititians to spin and tell lies in order to faciliate their own truth but would Rob’s own team really think it beneficial to do this. We all make mistakes and are human, if Robs team have edited and deleted film then they are no better than the paparazzi that took it. Surely R.P is better than this?

On a different note: I did admire how quick R dealt with the “hit and run” incident. Good Job! R can put that little thing behind him for sure. No worries!

IMO: R needs to focus on WFE this week without anymore interference or pressure from Summit/Robsten. But if I see a need for concern I will post something but until then. I do not want to talk about the next plot Summit has planned to to try and save the Titanic.

Thank you for posting the link. J I have read the article and think that not only should the paps be fined but should also be placed on probation (they wouldn’t be allowed to follow the celebrity for at least 2 years) but that’s my take.

I have also researched how paparazzi are dealt with in England. England has a regulatory body called the PCC and anyone can file a complaint against the media if they feel their rights have been violated. The PCC has a code of conduct that must be followed. The first case that was successfully upheld by the PCC was for the HRH Duke of York. He stated that the privacy of his children was violated. There is also a recent case that was not upheld due to the fact that the PCC found that the journalist was expressing her right of expression and if the PCC went against it, they would have violated the Human Rights Act.

Quick Synopsis of the case: Jan Moir of the Daily Mail wrote a column on the death of Boyzone member Stephen Gately which many consumers found to be offensive.

Do you think that the US should have something similar to what they have in England?

I think laws need to change at a federal level to help u at a state level.

The Paparazzi Reform Initiative will not only help celebrities but the general public as well. I think this is what FL was trying to point out. FL is new here and can offer really great insight into this issue for us.

IMO: There is strength in numbers and celebrities looking to get protection from the paparazzi/stalkers would undoubtably be beneficial to every citizen in the US.

Regarding England? The PCC sounds like a good idea, I would like to research it further.

IMO: The right to privacy should be when citizens demand it. I think when a celebrity or anyone reports a privacy violation, fines need to handed out based on the level of violation…… If a person does not pay the fine they go to jail.

Thank-you OPen Book! I look forward to it! As i’m sure you realize by now lol, while i’m fairly cerebral, I do not have the time, or frankly the inclination to scan thru tons of wepages and blogs. I have enough research to do for school LOL, so i prefer to just give my general impressions on things and lightweight banter with my girls! I personally have never been “stalked” so I can’t put myself in a celebs shoes. That being said, if I WERE a celeb, knowing what i know about that world, I would expect stalker behavior from the paps. It doesn’t make it right, but until stricter laws are in place it’s not going to change, and thats a shame, actors give us endless hours of enjoyment, and yes, they get paid very well for it, but that doesn’t mean they should have to give up their basic human rights, EXPECT to yes, at least until something changes, does that make sense?

OMG VNG, lol don’t even get me started on the topic of prisoner’s rights….it’s one thing i feel VERY strongly about! as far as i’m concerned, once you go and purposely commit a crime, you threw your “rights” out the window! what about victims rights?? criminals should not have rights…period!

This is so distressing to hear your story. I’m truly sorry! To hear both u and Laura be put under such terrifying circumstances.

I don’t know if u read FL post a website “The Paparazzi Reform Initiative” at the very bottom of the page click on Solution then Take Action, u will see ways we can help get harsher federal laws passed. Under the Take Action site it states in CA u should call 911 and take pictures of the paparazzi. I think this is what R was trying to do! I think it went and got ridiculously out of control.

I thought about this more last night. There was a BILL that went to the Senate Judiciary on Paparazzi/Stalker Reform on May 2010. But the MPAA is against it. I wrote commentary on the new board about it. Please read, I can’t remember the post # Sorry.

Now, I believe the Stalker Bill has a greater chance of getting through! Let me know your thoughts after u have read my other post.
