JAMES Franco says working on General Hospital has made him a better actor.
The star — who made a series of guest appearances on the hit US TV show — has credited his stint on the soap opera for helping him remember his lines and hold a facial expression.
“When I go on a movie set now I have no fear of remembering lines because I had to remember so much dialogue for the soap,” explains James.
“I was learning 70-80 lines a day on General Hospital. For a movie it’s like three or four lines a day. I can also hold an expression like they do at the end of a soap episode now. It’s a handy skill!”
James recently revealed that he’ll be studying at Yale University in September to obtain his doctorate in English and film studies.
