Chelsea ClintonCHELSEA Clinton‘s wedding is gonna be expensive!

Sources say the former First Daughter’s nuptials to fiance Marc Mezvinsky — which will take place at a posh private estate 90 miles north of Manhattan — is costing between $3 million to $5 million.

“I don’t think we’ve seen a wedding with this much attention since Patricia Nixon,” Donnie Brown, a wedding planner featured on the Style Network’s Whose Wedding Is It Anyway?, told the New York Daily News.

“This will definitely be the biggest wedding of the year.”

With a budget of $3 million and 500 guests expected to attend, that’s roughly $6,000 a head.

Upscale wedding planner Claudia Hanlin notes that “certain elements make it add up very, very quickly. One, having a venue that costs a bundle. That could be one that’s privately owned, or it could be buying out a hotel, it could be being in Italy and buying out a villa.

“And food and booze are already expensive. But the Clintons are reportedly hiring multiple vendors, which is one reason the food estimate gets so high.”

    What an enormous waste of money. Just think of the positive press they would have gotten if they announced that they’ve decided to scale back on the wedding cost and donate the difference to a worthy cause. Considering the condition this country is in, this extravaganza just seems wrong.

      I agree that this wedding is a huge waste of money but what does it have to do with being a republican or democrat? You people really need to stop being so bitter about this administration. You need to recognize that the time of a white run government is over. We have latinos, asians, and other cultures in this nation who can and will serve. Stop complaining and act like real americans.

    another good example that the democrats have no bounds when it comes to spending. the obama administration will probably include it in their budget so the taxpayer can foot the bill. why didn’t they give the money to charlie rangel and ask him to cut back on his stealing?

    Chelsea deserves such a wedding, having waited all these years. The wedding should have even cost more than the stipulated amount. Kudos to the Clintons.

    I hope they are happy and their goals are the same. Personally I think marraige is legally stupid and the government should get out of it totaly.Ending the stupid debate about same sex marriages. Marriage is a good way to make lawyers happy. Rich people should throw big parties more often. It distributes their wealth.

    No wedding should cost 3-5 million! Chelsea of all people, having traveled the world and having been exposed to the poorest of people, should be ashamed! One would expect an expensive wedding for the daughter of a former president, however that kind of money for one day becomes nauseating when we know that there are people in the world who are hungry and suffering because they do not have the money to make it day to day. I believe that if Chelsea allowed herself to sit with the idea of what she CAN do with that money as opposed to the anticipation of a fairy tale wedding, she would not only make a better choice, but she would be proud of herself when looking back at this someday.

      Danielle you should be ashamed at yourself. Money that is being spent serves more purpose than money being saved. Especially if you have the money to spend. Yes there are people less fortunate in the world but it isn’t about giving them money to make the problem disappear. It is about teaching skill and trades that way they won’t have to depend on someone else to survive.

      Give a man to fish and he eats for one day. Teach a man to fish and he eats for life…as well as an excuse to get away from Danielle.

    If the Cintons’ weren’t finished already this should do it.Didn’t they pay the same amount for their New York House? And Wasn’t old Bill taking donatitions to help pay his lawyers fees a few years back.Guess China’s paying for this one. Ye,How despicable these people are.Chelsea couldn’t be more uglier.

    In a time when Americans are starving and can’t find food to eat and are goind to food banks, our former president spends millions on a wedding. WHAT A HYPOCRITE. I voted for Clinton both times! I don’t care who you are but NO ONE should spend that kind of money on an event when people are starving especially the Secretary of State!! Come on Mrs. Clinton show some respect for the American Public who are out of work and who are trying to feed their families. You disgust me..
