JESSICA SIMPSON IN TALKS TO BECOME AN AMERICAN IDOL JUDGE — REP SAYS
JESSICA Simpson’s career is on the up — she’s reportedly in talks with American Idol about becoming a judge!
The singer/actress has spoken with Idol executives and her rep says that she “likes them and they like her.”
But, the rep insists, “they are not at the negotiating stage yet.”
Meanwhile, a source insists Simpson isn’t being tapped to replace Simon Cowell.
“She’s not his replacement — they’re two entirely different personalities,” the insider told America’s Life & Style magazine.
“This is part of a massive overhaul of the show. There may be more judges, more opinions.”
The source adds that Jessica’s father and manager, Joe Simpson, has “been heavily involved with Idol.
“His client Travis Garland performed on the May 19 show. Joe was there to support him, and Jess wrote one of his songs.”

american idol isnt the same ever since carrie underwood won the show, she set the bar so high that any idol who wins after her can’t compete with her, speaking of carrie weren’t these two supposingly feuding and didnt jess take it a a another level by saying carrie is a liar, she checked his call log, she made fun of her last name..and she was just very snotty toward her,i hope she knows carrie is american idol’s most beloved and she will be seeing a lot of her..i know shes an insecure girl as it is so i find that interesting, on carrie’s part i dont think she cares, i mean shes the one with the career, the success, the talent, the beauty and killer legs…oh yes and the marriage..so she has it all. i wonder how jess will handle that… she will be jealous and probably not to thrilled to see her, but hey its a paycheck and a fat one as that it will match her a$$….poor jessica..”and i don’t even know her last name?”
it happened so long ago carrie dated romo in late 06 and they split in summer of 07 and jessica dated him but its been a year since he famously dumped her on her bday. carrie has obviously moved on and shes happily married so for carrie it’s old news and i think she can careless for her ex’s and their past fling’s…i think their was bad blood between them..but it’s water under the bridge. carrie made a comment to allure that tony was calling and she may not pick up..it was a time when jess/tony were on a break (apparently) so maybe it was a target at jessica since the whole “real girls eat meat” thing or maybe it wasn’t anything and the media was just feeding into selling a mag…i think it was an innocent comment considering that they were friends and stayed friends after they split, but of course jessica drew her claws and went on the attack on live radio..pretty funny to hear actually because she is pretty much screaming insecure,threatened jealous girlfriend..thats how she was with nick on newlyweds too…i hate chicks like that i mean come’on these girls make us look bad!….jess and carrie will obviously see each other and for carrie it will be no biggie for her jessica isn’t even in her category she is above that wench….jessica however will still have her insecurities about her especially since carrie is beautifull, talented and just overall amazing!
jessica doesn’t like carrie,it has nothing to do with romo anymore, she doesnt like her bcuz she felt threatened and insecure by her generally speaking and her comments didnt help either, carrie is the better one of the two and she knows it and bcuz of that she doesnt like her she’s jealous, even if carrie never mentioned a word about romo the fact that she was his ex and his friend wasnt ok with her and she would have still had an insecurity about her and a problem with her and the fact that carrie is the beautifull successfull talented ex girlfriend didnt help either..she had issues with tony and carrie’s friendship…carrie is everything she wish she could be and jess has never received any recognition from the industry like carrie has, and the fact that she was walking into carrie’s world where she rules the country charts wasn’t exactly something she was looking forward too. overall jessica has major insecurities…
American Idol doesn’t need another screwy, ditsy, female! I refuse to believe Nigel Lithgoe would even consider her. Saw other sites saying Jessica WAS NOT being considered, but Britney WAS! It’s believable that both of these loopy girls have time on their hands, but they are terrible role models for our new young talent!
Please, please say it isn’t so!
