Leonardo DiCaprioLEONARDO DiCaprio doesn’t want to work with Mel Gibson!

According to a new report, the Inception star has withdrawn from a Gibson-directed flick about vikings in the wake of the domestic abuse scandal.

“Not a chance,” said a source close to Leo when asked if the Hollywood hunk was still planning to star in Mel’s next project.

“Leo has earned the right to pick and choose who he works with and Mel Gibson is not one of them.”

Before DiCaprio’s withdrawal, shooting was slated to begin in fall 2010.

The as-yet untitled project is being produced by Graham King and Mel’s Icon Productions.

    Leo DiCaprio has made some major films which overall have done pretty good box office world wide. Titanic was huge but Inception actually had a bigger opening. Leo can make whatever films he wants and has been smart is many of the roles he has selected. He isn’t like some actors who make a movie simply for the sake of money and ego. Right now who would want to work with Gibson under current conditions? His star power is gone, all he has is money. He recovered from his first blow up but this one is going to take longer. Maybe he was set up by his wife, but his conduct in this day and age is not at all acceptable. I may be in the minority but I liked Shutter Island too, good script, true to the book, and well made.

And sure glad that you all are perfect in your own lives. ldecaprio is just another actor and he needs the publicity to make himself “look better”?     I see some people on here saying Mel is a joke and not relevant now, but I assure everyone that he is, no matter what people might think of him. He is still a great actor and can still direct a film like it’s nobody’s business, look at Apocalypto for example. Personally, I am still a fan of his work, although I do think he needs to watch his behavior away from his work considering how big of a public figure he still is. But I could see why Leo pulled out, not like it’s going to hurt his career any. lol He can pretty much do anything he wants to now, everyone wants that guy in their movie.

We are paying the salaries of jerks like Mel and I was one of the first to watch Mad Max so many years ago. I was so disappointed in him when he got this other woman pregnant to start with. Real men don’t cheat on or abuse their wives and abandon their kids. That is what he did when he cheated on their mom.

    Smart move Leo. The next Mel Gibson movie (directed or starring) will not fair well at the box office due to the latest MELodrama. Maybe Mel will recover but it isn’t going to be the next movie.

    Mel has always been messed up. Hell, if you read the Motley Crue autobiography you will see he was partying back then with the lead singer. THAT alone should have been a big red flag for intervention.

    Mel will always be remembered for his memorable roles but lets face it even w/o this crap going on his career was declining. Few actors (and even less actresses) retain their appeal as they get old.

    Kudos to Leo – he did precisely the right thing. Remember a few years ago when the town of Greensburg, Kansas was almost totally wiped out by a tornado? DiCaprio went there and assisted with the rebuilding of the town, generously donating his own time and money.

    Mel Gibson is a lost cause. As an older poop, he should know better, but I think his career is shot. It’s certainly going downhill.

What about all the actors who have worked for Roman Polanski in the period since his flight from the U.S. to France? Shame on Walter Matthau, Harrison Ford, John Mahoney, Sigorney Weaver, Ben Kingsley, Adrien Brody, and every other actor who has worked for Polanski knowing full well that Polanski drugged and raped a thirteen year old girl in Jack Nicholson’s apartment. Set in the early 80′s, it is all about a 18-20 year old guy with a lot of adrenalin and even more heart, kind of like you, who doesn’t know just where to go in life. One day, while driving his girl friend home from school, he finds a car in a garage that takes them to a parralel universe. Here, in foggy familiarity, he finds his brother (who had vanished in Vietnam) in the form of a ghost. They find out that there is a black hole sucking the life out of the city… and together decide to figure out a reason why and stop it . As bad as it sounds, it kind of cool, because together we (they) use there powers to go around inspiring people via songs played on a magical jute box…. which starts to change things in some way I frankly haven’t thought of….     Let’s give Mel a break! – we don’t have the whole story yet. So, let’s just hold on to our hats. A point to ponder: What are better odds?Being impregnated by two Hollywood actors or being hit by lightening or winning the lottery? Who has more to Gain and who has more to Lose? Once you have sorted this out in your head,it will become easier to discern. Don’t be so quick to judge.

Mel started seeing a therapist after his relationship with OG and as a result has completed 2 movies and without problems for the last 6 months. He leaves OG and now he is better.     If one believes doing their job in a film directed or produced by an individual that is dealing with some tough personal issues will somehow make them feel ashamed then go, but be certain to move out of your glass house while you are at it.
