Jennifer Lopez — American Idol Judge?

Jennifer LopezJENNIFER Lopez has closed a deal to become a permanent judge on American Idol‘s season 10 — according to a new report.

People magazine says the singer/actress — who raises twins Max and Emme with husband Marc Anthony — will join judges Randy Jackson and Kara DioGuardi on the panel. She previously served as a guest mentor to contestants in 2007.

“It’s true,” a source said. “She’s excited about it.”

Lopez’s longtime manager, Benny Medina, reportedly orchestrated the deal.

Jennifer was first linked to Idol in July last year when it was rumored she’d be replacing Paula Abdul.

The news comes just hours after Ellen DeGeneres announced she was stepping down from her position as Idol‘s newest judge.

    Wow you know your career is in the shitter when you go from selling millions of records despite not having any real talent but your big ass, Staring in big block buster movies and now 20th judge on a show that is losing it’s steam fast! She would have been better off having her own reality show.

    It sucks that Jennifer Lopez couldn’t get to American Idol. It would are already amazing if she could have gotten there. Nicely maybe she can get there subsequent season.
