Sorry if this posts twice but I have a question regarding Summit and how far do you think they would go to keep the “Robsten Titanic” afloat.

This is strictly a HYPOTHETICAL SITUATION

What if R met a nice woman that he really loves and got her pregnant?

What would Summit do then? Would they pay the woman to keep quiet because it would definitely sink the PR.

Do you think R would give some kind of announcement?

Yes, It’s written into R/K contract. It’s whatever way Summit’s chooses to promote and advertise the films. They have a right to use R/K name, photos and voice, in any manner or media.

In terms of R/K being on board, well R/K are not a non-profit organization? I mean any person looking to profit off their work would want to maximize his/her capacity to do so. Unfortunately now, Robsten is not the way to do it.

IMO: Summit was not, has not and is not concerned about the safety or welfare of R/K, or their future endeavors. Summit is too arrogant and desperate to stop the Robsten campaign. However, like I said before, Summit need’s to conserve money for BD I & II. So they can’t do Robsten to the extreme. Not the way they have been prone to do in the past. Plus it’s just really not a good idea…….I mean really!!!!

At the end of the day the fans will all like different aspects of the book so the recommendation will be to do the whole book (shudder). What can they possibly hope to gain from this, especially MR as it appears to be nothing less than a career sinker to me.

I do blame Rosenberg for everything wrong with the storyline in the movies. Kristen blew chunks in Eclipse..mouth open most of the time, no emotion.. just didn’t compute with either Taylor or Rob on chemistry. The director did make a comment that he was difficult because some of the actors had just filmed NM then went onto other projects then immediately to Eclipse and promoting… it would appear they were tired in addition to all the work outs they had to do to prepare. But Rob and Taylor and Jackson, Kellen, all of the other cast members pretty much rock in the movie. I never thought Nikki was the right person to play Rosalie… she looks nothing like Rosalie in the book. But she is old friends with Katheryn Hardwick so she had an in for the part. I think Kristen did okay in the first TW and not horrible in some scenes in the NM… but Eclipse… she sucked. I have to give her cudos though for the retake of the tent scene… I heard when they filmed it again.. she was really sick.. like food poisoning sick.. barfing in the trash can etc.. That does take dedication. I had food poisoning before and I can tell you it took a lot for her to do that. But, don’t get me wrong. I still think she was not the right person to play Bella and that she didn’t bring justice to the character.

Breaking Dawn is the least exciting of the three books..mainly because SM got too into the Jacob Character. Is she would have left out the Jacob Chapters the book would have flowed much better. I was bored in the middle of the book. It was great in the beginning and the end but the whole Jacob chapter sucked. Who cares about Jacob and his complaining.

Good question!!!! My advice for R and Fox is to find some way around the Kiss/Chemistry moment. Perhaps have someone else accept the award for R if possible. We all know how great a comedian R is. I loved R in the MTV Tom Cruise parody, that was classic!!!! I still talk about it LOL!!! IMO: Comic relief is always good for sticky situations.

What Fox would get in the short term by promoting Robsten will not last for a week. However, the wrath Fox and R will receive by playing the Robsten card, will last for months, months and months. They will have to decide if it’s worth the risk. R is smart, I’m sure R will do what he thinks is best, he always does.

I’m just not worried.

I think this is going to back fire, because what does this do to MR’s reputation as a screenwirter? Especially if she uses these ideas. Yeah, some fans may be happy with the suggestions, but shouldn’t MR know how to develop a good or great screenplay on her own without fan input.

So this maybe a dangerous move on MR’s and Summits part. I wonder how SM feels about it too?

IMO: MR should not play with a hungry bear……..I hope she survives.

Hmmm! I do see where u are going. I think if Summit exercised more self-control a long time ago, then this strategy would have been an option.

However, it would be in Fox and R’s best interest if they don’t stir the Robsten pot, I’m afraid.

Did u see the Vampires Sucks, movie? It’s a parody of TW? It’s coming out in August. Also, at other sites there is some pretty awful things being said about the TW franchise and all involved. Not good!!!

I saw posts that MR is looking for fan feedback regarding script strategy. Smacks of pandering to me.

BD was a horrible book by all accounts, obsessed fans too.
They can’t stay ‘true to the book’ like they have done and been beaten into submission by the fans for the 3 previous. So how to go forward? Use the story line and use the script to appeal to the favorite characters? That’s one way to go.

Great point, Summit may go for Robsten out of habit. I would not doubt that!

But a storm is brewing amongst fans of the series and those who are not. I can’t tell u some of the backlash that’s in store for Summit. It’s pretty bad……..BD 1 is the only movie they should do. I mean really?

I agree with Kim……. Summit could use stock images to keep Robsten alive.

However, the backlash of Summit’s PRsten has just begun. It’s going to get pretty ugly trust me!!!! Summit and everyone involved with Robsten will be jumping ship soon.

IMO, I would think they (Summit) would want to keep the media exposure up to keep appease the fan base. They need the fan base to stay interested for box office sales for the next two movies given their tactics we have witnesses up to this point. I would think that we may see a lull until filming begins and then leaks throughout until the saturation prior to the release. This strategy seems to have worked for Eclipse, no?

I’ll try and play devil’s advocate to stir debate if you will permit me?

Would FOX gain by stirring up the R fan base?
Yes, Fox wants to stir up the true R fan base. Now it seems that there could be discussion of which strategy they could take to do that, high-road with WFE, low-road with Robsten.

His co-stars with WFE are not going to be present @ TCA’s. One could consider the low-road path to gain market exposure, no? I would assume FOX would want to stir the true ROB fan base, however, the TCA’s are riddled with the TW teen demographic.

Seems problematic to me what strategy they would take?
