HILARIE Burton has been keeping a big secret for the past few months.

Seriously!

The former One Tree Hill actress managed to keep her pregnancy and the birth of her son with boyfriend Jeffrey Dean Morgan under wraps — until now.

Burton, 28, began dating Morgan, 44, in 2009, and “their relationship moved pretty quickly,” a source said at the time.

The pair went public with their romance in April this year, when they walked the red carpet for the L.A. premiere of Jeffrey’s flick The Losers.

“We’re really happy, and we’re a very good team. And we got very lucky that our family is what it is,” Hilarie told the Associated Press.

But Burton still would not reveal the name of their son or his birth date.

“I want to protect them like a mama wolf should,” she explained of her new family.

It’s the first child for Burton, but not Morgan, who learned in March 2009 that he had a 5-year-old son with actress Sherrie Ross.

Hilarie is currently in NYC to film a series of episodes for the USA network show, White Collar, with the first episode airing Aug. 10 at 9 p.m. ET.
