The American Idol alum was at the 2010 Teen Choice Awards at the Gibson Amphitheater in Universal City, CA, Sunday.

David, 19, recently launched his new book, Chords of Strength: A Memoir of Soul, Song and the Power of Perseverance.

“I’m hoping that people will find things in common with me,” Archuleta recently told Utah’s Deseret News of the biography.

“I know I haven’t lived for the longest time, but I have learned things.”
