JESSICA ALBA: ‘HUSBAND HAS MY BACK’

JESSICA Alba says she had an instant connection with her husband Cash Warren.
The actress tells the September issue of Cosmopolitan magazine that she felt something extra special about Cash — with whom she raises 2-year-old daughter Honor Marie — during their first interaction.
“Right after I met [Cash], I called my best friend and was like, ‘I met this guy and I feel like I’ve known him forever and I’m gonna know him for the rest of my life,” said the 29-year-old.
“The romantic stuff comes and goes, but it’s like, does that person have your back?
“You have to be a team navigating through wherever life may lead you and I want a friend for that.”
Jessica and Cash married in a secret ceremony on May 19 2008.
Alba has previously admitted she hated the idea of getting married.
“I had a hard time agreeing with marriage at all because I feel like its been warped,” she said earlier this year. “Originally, it was two families coming together to make a stronger family. It was about survival — not love or soulmates.
“And now the way they market marriage — even as a kid through Disney movies — is that it’s all about Prince Charming sweeping you off your feet.
“There’s this mentality that you need the big dress and the big day — the day every girl gets to be a princess. I didn’t agree with any of that. This tradition of obeying your husband like he’s your king? It’s a load of crap. Love and honour, yes. But you should love and honor yourself too, and all your friends.”
