DINA LOHAN: ‘LINDSAY DOESN’T HAVE A DRUG OR BOOZE PROBLEM’

DINA Lohan insists her daughter, Lindsay Lohan, has no problem with drugs or alcohol — and is adamant all the actress’ issues can be blamed on “tabloids.”

During an interview with Today‘s Matt Lauer, Dina was asked whether it’s smart for Lindsay to leave rehab early, seeing how her prior stays have not been successful.

“When it’s court ordered, it’s not your judgment call,” she said. “It’s the court’s. So, she is back. She is doing wonderfully there. The judge was recused from the case… she was the one that ordered this last one… because of a legal situation, she may actually get out of rehab earlier at this time. We may have a case against California.”

Lauer asks, “As a mom, has there been a time in her life recently where you’ve been seriously worried she might die at a young age?”

“Well,” Dina replied, “initially, I put her in Promises… oh gosh, why would you say something as horrible as that?

“I don’t have a crystal ball. I’m not going to go down that road. I don’t foresee… I put her in rehab in 2007. She’s 24 now, she’s grown up considerably.

“She’s living in a town here, you know… her life is very magnified… it’s been very difficult with the tabloids. She can’t even go to Starbucks without somebody following her.

“Somebody goes to rehab to rehabilitate themselves, but you’re looking at it from what you’re reading. It is a completely different dynamic…. When you meet her and you see my child… it’s blown out of proportion.”

Dina says Lindsay will continue to make movies “because that’s what she wants to do,” and that Dina will stand behind “whatever she wants.”

As for reports that Dina hasn’t been involved in Lindsay’s life closely enough, she insisted, “I’ve always been hands on. Maybe my ex husband told you that… I’ve always had a relationship with all my children. You may read or believe something… but I’ve always been there for my children. I’ve been a single mom for 15 years. I’ve had criminal orders of protection against my ex. He’s not really been a part of my life.

“I don’t speak for my children. Lindsay’s a brilliant woman. She’ll do an interview when she comes out. I’ve taught her to be… very honest and open, and you will all make your own judgment of her.”

Denial Denial Denial, that is all these two women, Lindsay and Dina know. When is Dina going to wake up and realize her daughter needs help? If she wasn’t into drugs or alcohol they would not have shown up in the drug test the court ordered before Lindsay went to jail and rehab. The judge wouldn’t have put Lindsay in jail if she was sober. THe judge is justified in putting Lindsay where she was and the jail should have enforced the judges orders. THat is why she was in jail for only 11 days, the jail decided to let her go. Overcrowding my A%%. She was in a special area away from the general population so there wasn’t any need to let her go so soon. Now they are saying she may get out of rehab early? Who paid someone off for even thinking about doing that? I am so sick of these celebrities getting away with everything. It is time they all grew up and became adults and lived in the real world like the rest of us. Spoiled, overpaid, and pampered beyond belief. Let them do real jobs, like, police, firefighters, doctors, etc who have the real dangerous jobs, then maybe they would appreciate whatthey are doing and start acting reponsible. Just my opinion.

It is with great sadness I write this. How many moms out there that have identified their childrens problems and worked with them to get through them want to slap Dina right now? I know I do. I don’t give a rats ass if Lindsay Lohan does or does not consume alcohol or drugs! I believe all drugs should be legal. Reckless behavior, with or without drugs, should not be legal. Probation is a way for the courts to tell you what to do, it’s a jail that is outside of the normal prison setting, but it is still a form of jail. If you don’t do what probation says and get caught, then you go to the next higher form of jail, real jail. This is why Lindsay went to jail. She is an adult and as long as she doesn’t drive recklessly (not since 2007) or harm others, leave her the fuck alone. People rehabilitate and treat themselves if need be for them. This stupid rehab sentence is a bunch of crap. It’s a waste of time and money. Nobody (99.999%) goes to treatment because they want to, it’s nearly always under “sentence” (i.e. probation or parole). That kind of rehab does not work, period, it has to be under volition of free will to work. What society locks people up for having problems if you even do? What the fuck??? When did it become illegal to have problems? Fuck this babysitting world for adults that we live now, esp. in the U.S. So this woman did some crazy crap that was dangerous and reckless over 3 years ago on the public roads. Get over it. The court should have locked her up for a few months then and been done with it. Fuck all this probation on and on and on crap and then lock her up for missing treatment, etc.!! This media attention is not important because Lohan is a celebrity, it’s important because her situation could happen to anyone who makes some mistakes. I understand caring about someone and their health; however, I value an individual’s freedom more. Even the freedom to be an addict if you don’t harm anyone else. Her crime(s) were victimless. The courts would wisely spend their time prosecuting those that commit crimes with actual victims like those of rape and torture and stop babysitting people like Lohan. The best thing Lindsay can do at this point is just do the crap (rehab) that the court/probation say and be done with it and not be under their gun again with their claws up her ass day and night. I thought previously she was a spoiled rich bitch but now I’m leaning toward defending her side as an individual and a human being who deserves freedom, individuality, and to be left the fuck alone, addiction problems or not.
