Dina LohanDINA Lohan is one deluded lady — according to her friends!

Sources close to Dina have lambasted the reality TV star for not taking responsibility for her daughter Lindsay Lohan‘s downward spiral.

Dina recently gave an interview to Today‘s Matt Lauer where she insisted Lindsay — who’s currently in rehab — doesn’t have a problem with drink or drugs — and blamed the actress’ problems on the tabloids.

“She’s living in a town here, you know… her life is very magnified… it’s been very difficult with the tabloids. She can’t even go to Starbucks without somebody following her,” she said.

“Somebody goes to rehab to rehabilitate themselves, but you’re looking at it from what you’re reading. It is a completely different dynamic…. When you meet her and you see my child… it’s blown out of proportion.”

A longtime Dina associate has now spoken out, insisting she’s not facing facts about her daughter’s problems or her clearly dysfunctional family life.

“Dina was out of control. … She simply doesn’t get it. She sees herself and Lindsay as the victims of an unfair press. … I think she has totally lost all touch with reality,” a source told the Chicago Sun-Times newspaper.

“Dina soon may go off the deep end. She was furious with Matt after that interview, thinking he was unfair and abusive. … She’s living in fantasy land.

“Matt can’t believe how blind she is — or appears to be — to Lindsay’s problems.”

    The reason she is in such denial is because she has a drug prblem and instead of owning up to the factthtat this is why your child has drug problem–she denys it..

    Dina Lohan lives off her daughter. She is afraid Lindsay will cut down the money tree. Dina need a good dose of reality.

    Dina is trying to live “through her daughter.” She tries more to be Lindsay’s friend than her mother and I’m sure she enjoys whatever money she receives in the interim. Both should be in some sort of rehab. A pathetic situation and I’m sure the press can find much more important matters to report on.

      I agree, Dina Lohan is in complete denial about Lindsey,
      she can blame the press all she wants. She should start being a real mom, something she should of done 10 years ago. Honestly the whole family needs to go to rehab.Dina
      saying that lindsey is moving back to New york might be
      a good thing. However, in this case Dina believes that her daughter’s problems will magically disapear like in the Disney movies. Hello! welcome to real life,Dina’s and lindsey’s problems are not going away unless they seriously face up to them.

    First of all since when did Dina become a “reality TV star”- LOL? Secondly, did Lindsay even know that her train wreck of a mother was giving this interview? I’d like to think not. I am on Lindsay’s side and wish her well, but…having her mother doing things like this is going to make it that much harder for her to thrive- sober. Both of her parents need to grow up!

    Both Dina Lohan and Lindsay Lohan need to get their act together. Girls! Girls! Girls! Wake up and smell the coffee. Take responsibilites for your wayward actions. The Judge needs to sue Dina Lohan for the remarks she made on national TV. I am surprised the NBC would show such “drivel”. Both Lohans need real psychiatric help or should be locked up and the key thrown away.

    Lindsay’s problem did not start overnight… it has been building for years. Where were her parents during those years? Living off her money, that’s where. “She was out drinking until 3 in the morning and she’s 12? Oh, well… at least she’s recovered enough to shoot her scenes and bring in the money”….. I’m wondering if there’s a statue of limitations on child neglect… if not, then the Lohans should be dragged to court on that charge. I pity the younger sister… she’ll either wind up just like Lindsay (or worse) or she’ll see what kind of problems it’s causing and do everything she can to keep it from happening to her (I hope).

    If Dina is unable to realize Lindsay has a drug problem, then Dina should get drug treatment for herself as well. That Lohan’s put the FUN in dysfunctional!!

    20 million people are homeless with no water and food in Pakistan due to flooding. 3.5 Pakistanian children are at a high risk for deadly airdorne diseases. Please people, let’s put this in prospective. If you had a meal today and were able to lock your front door, you are in the 1% minority on this planet. Dina Lohan needs to stop complaining and start thanking God her daughter has a roof over her head and her Sag Insurance is footing the bill again for her drinking and drugging ways.

    Dina is in complete denial about her daughter, she needs to sart acting like a real mother, something she should have done 12 years ago. She thinks that Lindsey’s problems will dissapear like in the Disney movies.
    Clearly the whole family needs to be in rehab. Hopefully if they do that they can face reality instead of trying to escape it.

    It is sad to see how many folks just buy hook, line and sinker the fairy tales Michael Lohan Sr. spits out in an effort to steal fame off his daughter’s fame. IF Linds were abusing drugs like Lohan Sr. claims then she would have been in legal trouble since 2007 and she has not been in any trouble since 2007. The wild claims Lohan Sr has made should be enough for Linds to sue him. She takes meds for ADHD and UCLA would never be considering letting her out in 2 weeks if she were addicted to abusing her meds. Lohan Sr. should be jailed for his slander of Lindsay and taking and posting nude photos of Kate while she was clearly sleeping. It still amazes me that anyone bys Michael Lohan Sr. crap or his lawyer Lisa Bloom. WAKE UP………Even the judge had to remove herself from the case…………that is because she looks like a fool for sentencing Linds for rescheduling alocohol clases when everyone else doing so was not sentenced to jail.
