HILARY SWANK GETS LAUGHED AT FOR BEING TIGHT-FISTED WITH MONEY!

Hilary SwankHILARY Swank doesn’t take her fortune for granted.

The actress — who grew up in Bellingham, Wash. without much money — says she still appreciates the value of a dollar.

“People around me laugh because I still have a deep understanding of what a dollar gets you and how far to make that dollar go,” Swank told In Style magazine.

“No wonder my closet is a hodgepodge. I have everything from Louboutins to Payless, from Gap to designer stuff. You don’t have to have a brand name on to be stylish. You can mix it all together and it works.”

Swank — who divorced actor Chad Lowe in 2006 after nine years of marriage and is now dating her agent, John Campisi — also said she sees her divorce as “a success”.

“A lot of people look at divorce as a failure. I really look at my relationship with Chad as 14 years of success,” she said.

“I will carry him in my heart forever. He’s a part of me. Friends of mine and I talk about this. Does someone come into your life for a certain time, and then you are supposed to go your separate ways? There’s a part of me that thinks that’s true.

“There are friendships that we grow out of. But I believe in the long haul. I believe in having a monogamous relationship.”

    I don’t see anything wrong with being frugal, especially these days. Those who are laughing at her now will be laughing out of the other side of their necks when she still has money and they don’t!!! I applaud you Hillary! What you’re doing makes sense. Maybe some of the other stars in Hollywood needs to learn this lesson. When one keeps buying a $10,000 dress to wear once and keeps going to parties in dresses that cost that much and more, the next thing you know, you’re begging for spare change on the corner!!!
