Shia LaBeouf: ‘Indiana Jones 5 Will be Crazy’

Shia LaBeoufSHIA LaBeouf says the fifth indiana Jones movie sounds “crazy”.

The actor can’t wait to reprise his role as Indy’s son alongside Harrison Ford and has already had a sneak peek at the new adventure being planned by director Steven Spielberg.

“They’re script writing right now,” says Shia. “I got called into Steven’s office and he pitched a little bit to me and it sounds crazy, it sounds really cool.”

Shia — who is currently dating British beauty Carey Mulligan — recently insisted he’s not a “huge spender”.

“I’ve never been a huge spender. I bought my parents’ houses because I was young and thinking like most single children whose parents are going through a divorce, I wanted to try and make things better,” he said.

“I realized they just weren’t meant to be and that’s beautiful too and they’re friends. Otherwise it’s mainly Dodger tickets. Seriously, I go pretty hard on those.”

    Well Stiven Spielberg made a very good choice to make a fifth movie of indiana jones and chosing Shia Labeouf to play in it bcs i think he is the best actor in hollywood right now.

    Groan….I’m a big fan of Shia – but the next few films he’s got lined up to play in have me thinking he’s going to have to really really prove himself with. In his first Indiana Jones movie, I feel he did not do quite as well as he usually does – a little intimidated by an admired actor like Harrison Ford maybe, and perhaps an established series like Indiana Jones? I hope he has more confidence in this one. I follow Shia’s career closely, and want him to succeed in every movie he plays in – so don’t get me wrong! I can’t wait to see Money Never Sleeps, and the next Transformers…but for Indiana Jones, Triple Nine, and (gulp) Hell’s Angels, I’m eager to see just how versatile he can be.

    I am a big Indy fan and I welcome Indy 5 as long as Mutt only plays a bit part. Crystal Skull to me, seemed to have too many ‘characters’ which made Indy himself almost cameo-ish. In fact I have a great idea for Indy 5 and if I could, I would submit my own screenplay to Lucas and Spielberg. So if George or Steven read this, just email me and I will pitch you my idea.
