HAYDEN Panettiere flew off the handle when she was refused entry into a club.

The Heroes actress — who turns 21 on August 21 — apparently got into a screaming match with a doorman outside trendy LA hotspot Villa after he told Hayden she couldn’t come in because she lacked legal ID.

“Are you kidding me?” Hayden said, according to a report in American tabloid the National Enquirer. “I come here all the time. Why is this an issue NOW?

“I turn 21 in a couple of weeks…so what the hell is your problem?”

Hayden has previously revealed that she’s been drinking wine with her meals since the age of eight.

“I was raised Italian and we always had diluted glasses of red wine at dinner time from about the age of 8,” she said earlier this year.

“That’s just what kids do in Italy. It wasn’t ever something bad.”

NO ONE should be let in where alcohol is served unless proper ID is presented, especially if you look to be under 21. I work in a bar. The article says she “lacked legal ID”. To me, this means she didn’t have her ID on her. I don’t care of you’re 40 and have been going into the same bar for 19 years. If you go into a bar without ID and the ABC (Alcoholic Beverage Control) Board comes in and asks you for your ID and you don’t have it, they can shut the CLUB down and assess huge fines. The individual usually gets off with a slap on the wrist, but the bar manager can even go to jail.
Hayden, remember your ID and just calm down. The bar is protecting themselves. The bouncer did his job. Special priviledges aside, even you can’t argue with the law. Go have a chat with Lindsey and see what I mean.

A LOT of night clubs in the US state “18 to party, 21 to drink”. In my state it’s 19 to party, 21 to drink. Underage can be in there, but it is the club’s responsibility to assure they are not drinking. She may have been in the club in the past with no problem. BUT… This time she didn’t bring her ID. Without it, no matter how well known she is, the club can get in severe trouble.

Why would THAT work when all the person had to do was rip off the bracelet a few steps past the door? Duh! I have been in only TWO bars in my life, and I was immediately hit with the abundant stink of alcohol and cigarettes! I felt sick both times. I was in the first bar to look for a friend. I went to the second bar to play billiards with another friend. That was over ten years ago and I have never been in another bar. I find them depressing!

The bracelet is not put on those who CAN’T drink. It’s put on the one’s that CAN. If you have no bracelet you get no drink. If you say you “lost” yours, then you go pay the cover and buy another one. No one who has one would rip it off and those who don’t have one can’t get served.

I understand the actress’s point of view since she has been there before, but just because the other doormen were wrong all of the other times (as was the actress)doesn’t make this doorman wrong because he is doing his job correctly. Come back when you are 21, Heidi, they just might let you in if you don’t cause any more trouble.

Maybe the club got a new owner or decided to change the rules. In any case, you’re not 21 until your 21, even if you’re a famous actress. And I was born and raised in Italy until I graduated high school and moved to the States, kids don’t drink water and wine with every dinner where I come from. True that there is no legal drinking age in Italy but you’re not in Italy Hayden.
