SALMA Hayek feels “really lucky” to have made it in Hollywood.

The actress — who stars in new movie Grown Ups — admits she found it difficult to find work because of her Mexican accent.

“I have been really, really lucky. It was really hard at the beginning because of the accent to find roles for me,” she said.

“Now after 20 years they’re beginning to get used to me.

“I do have to work really hard, but I am in a really good place. A lot of people work really hard and don’t get to see results.

“Maybe I would never have been a producer and director if things had just gone my way easily.”

Salma — who raises daughter Valentina with husband François-Henri Pinault recently revealed she likes changing diapers.

“I even like changing her diapers,” she said earlier this month.

“I know that I need to set boundaries for her. I can be really strict.

“For me, it is important that she develops a close relationship with nature. I grew up in the countryside, that’s why I feel best when we’re at our country house.

“When we’re there she gets to spend lots of time enjoying nature. That’s one of the greatest gifts.”
