SEAN CONNERY REFUSES TO USE KNIGHTHOOD!

Posted by Adam

Sean ConnerySEAN Connery doesn’t plan to use his knighthood.

The Scottish actor — who recently celebrated his 80th birthday — was knighted in July 2000.

“The knighthood I received was a fantastic honor but it’s not something I’ve ever used and I don’t think I ever will,” he said.

“It’s incredible to think of the boy growing up in Edinburgh being given one of the highest awards that can be given.”

Sean — who has starred in films such as The Man Who Would Be King, Marnie, A Bridge Too Far, Indiana Jones And The Last Crusade, Time Bandits and seven Bond films between 1962 and 1983 — recently revealed he’s done with Hollywood.

“I don’t think I’ll ever act again. I have so many wonderful memories but those days are over,” he told Britain’s Daily Record newspaper.

“I’ve done a voiceover for an 85-minute animated film called Sir Billi, which I enjoyed and it will be exciting to see that project finished. Shirley Bassey sings the theme and Ruby Wax was also involved.”

Thank you so much for all the fun you have brought to our lives. I niss your performances, and if you ever decide to act again in a movie I will be one of the first in line to buy and I would pay full price and would think I got a bargain. Enjoy your retirement you have earned it.
