Venus WilliamsVENUS Williams doesn’t regret wearing racy outfits on the tennis court!

The sports superstar stunned the world when she wore a lack-lace corset dress with flesh-tone undergarments at the French Open in May, but insists she wouldn’t change a thing about her style choices.

“[That dress is] very historical at this point,” Williams told New York Post gossip column Page Six.

“I would do it the absolute same way. I was trying to do something fun that was still functional.”

Williams — who designs her own line of tennis gear — says fashion choices in the sport are “conservative or conservative.”

“There’s times where I’ve designed things and the back is just too low or the fabric was too hot or I’ve altered [a piece] to give it more support,” she said.

“I don’t think I’ve worn anything that was so bad, it’s been like ‘ugh.’ “

    Perhaps time has changed regarding a dress code policy for tennis players. In fact, many tennis clubs and sports stores have a designated area for appropriate tennis attire. Especially for those who perform as professional tennis players, regardles of gender, should certainly want to show themselves as professional. If you want to wear inappropriate court attire while playing, do it on your own court at home! This in-your-face style for Ms. Williams appears unprofessional and totally inappropriate!She wants to be a designer, most designers know what is an appropriate dress for a sports event or formal event, sports or a party dress?? This is more a distraction than interesting!! The Williams sisters are serious about their game, now get serious about your tennis-wear. Amen!

    WHY IS IT THAT WOMEN ALWAYS SHOW THEIR PRIVATE PARTS? MS WILLIAMS IS NOT THE ONLY WOMAN WHO DOES IT. THEY ALL DO IT. THEY DO IT AT CHURCH, IN THE MALL, OUT IN PUBLIC PLACES, WHERE EVER THEY ARE. THERE IS ONE RACE OF WOMAN WHO DOES NOT DO IT, AND THAT’S THE BEAUTIFUL ASIAN WOMAN. THEY ARE CONSERVATIVE IN ALL THEY DO, AND THIS IS WHY I HAVE GREAT RESPECT FOR THE ASIAN WOMAN, AND I AM A 63 YEAR YOUNG AFRICAN AMERICAN MALE. THEY DO NOT SHOW THEIR BRA STRAPS, OR ANY PART OF THEIR UNDIES. THEY LEAVE A LOT TO THE IMAGINATION WHILE AMERICAN WOMEN DO NOT. THINK ABOUT IT.

    This outfit is old news.I thought they were talking about that pink spartly spandex outfit she was wearing at the US open.The one that she keeps pulling down over her butt after she serves.Her new pink sparkly outfit was not that half bad if she got it in a size or two bigger so she would have to keep pulling it down over her butt.

    For the top photo couldn’t they use a more flattering photo,especially one that doesn’t make her look like she is 3 months pregnant or she over ate during the holidays.

      Sandra-If you look at my comment above yours,I said that her pink outfit at the us open was not half that bad if she had gotten it a size larger so she wouldn’t have to keep pulling it down over her butt after she served.

      The people who are against her racy outfits are not haters.Some people where raised with different values and moral system than you.Who says the way one is raised is better than another way that somebody else is raised.Some people also thought that tennis was about the sport not who can wear the prettiest outfit out their on the court.

    I am a tennis player myself, and I am glad someone has the guts to change the look of tennis attire. I just wish I was still young enough to wear some of the more interesting designs that are available now. I love watching all the new outfits that the Williams sisters wear. Granted, some of them are a little over the top, but it still creates interest in the game to see what they will be wearing. If you are as good of players as they are, you can get by with anything. I say more power to them.
