PAULA ABDUL CAN’T BELIEVE THAT PEOPLE WANT HER BACK ON IDOL!

Paula AbdulPAULA Abdul is “speechless” that people want to see her return to American Idol.

The former singer — who quit the TV talent show in 2009 after seven years as a judge — is delighted that her fans are desperate for her to re-join the panel.

“I’m very grateful,” she said. “I have tremendous gratitude that people want to see me on television and that people miss me on Idol. That leaves me speechless. It really does.

“I’ll always be a fan of the show. I had an amazing time. To be part of something from the very beginning that grew into such a worldwide phenomenon is really awe-inspiring. It’s going to go down in history. It’s always wonderful to be part of something that’s larger than you could have ever imagined. People grow with time and you can always expect change. I’m forever a fan of the show and I’ll always watch.”

Adbul then discussed Idol executive producer Nigel Lythgoe‘s recent comments that he wants her to return.

“They are very kind words,” she said. “I just found that out at work here, because people told me.

“I have the utmost respect for Nigel. Him going back to American Idol is in many ways a very big blessing. He’s a wonderful producer and I’m taken by the kind words he had to say. I have tremendous respect for him.”

    She didn’t say she would return though..bummer. She has a great personality and extreme talent. She was always kind to everyone one the show, even the total freaks.

    Idol was pretty lifeless without Paula…but she will be back on the X-Factor with Simon next fall. Long time to wait but it will be worth it. Feel bad for Idol…..they will probably never get back the original chemistry the judges had…..never try to fix something that isn’t broken. See what happens? Simon said Paula is TV GOLD and he was right.

      Most people DO NOT want Paula back. She lives in a fantasy world left over from her “meds”. Idol has not/will not ask her back. Simon talks nice about her, but he has not/will not ask her to judge on X-Factor.
      She’s loopy, loony, and last week’s leftovers!

    They should have appreciatedher when she was there. The producers of idol underestimated Paula’s value. Ever since Paula left everything has fallen apart. The magic is gone. Last season was so boring. IT’S OVER!!! I hope Paula maintains her dignity and refuse to go back. Next time, no tv show will mess with her.Paula shd not go back because they really treated her shabbily. She is a super star and she deserves bettr- like X-Factor. Let them grovel and beg her to come back !We love you Paula!!!

    Well it’s true Paula. YOU are wanted back on American Idol and badly! I haven’t watched it – not one single show – since you left. YOU made this show…not Simon. I know he would like to think he was ‘the man’ and the most popular but in reality…you were the only reason I personally watched it. I think others feel the same. To prove this…Simon has now now left A. I. and yet truthfully…who cares? Has there been a swamping of blogs saying everyone wants him back? Answer: No! That’s because we are glad he’s gone. Yet with you…I’m not the only one who wished you’d come back. I loved your tenderness. It was so needed on this show. IF you come back to American Idol…I will seriously consider watching it again.

    Paula, you were amazing on American Idol……once you left I couldn`t give a damn on what happened!!!!!
    This seaason was sucky i can`t remember a single contestant and the people in the finals wili be nobodiesheard a single song from lee anyways),
    ( i`ve not and there was no Saula……
    Do hope you join the X-Factor along with Simon…..i have no idea as to how idol will be next year!!!!

    Paula without Simon is like peanut butter without jelly. Why bother? The producers of this show, instead of trying to put band aids on everything, should just admit that they really messed up by breaking up the Paula/Simon duo, and there is no getting it back. I’ve always tried to think positively about each future season, but last season was not good at all, and this season, with Simon out, is going to be just horrible. As much of a diehard fan as I am, I doubt I’ll even be interested. Steven Tyler? Really? I like Aerosmith, but he’s just an injury or rehab stint waiting to happen.

    As long as she stays straight and stops denying she was ever on ANY kind of drugs. I saw her get indignant once and say that, “I am NOT on illegal drugs!” But she didn’t say what she WAS on that made her humiliate herself time and again. Read between the lines, she was on something, I don’t care what it was. I am no saint but I’m not dumb either. As my old Aunt Eva used to say, “I’ve seen it done, had it done.” The other one was, “There is nothing worse than a fool.” OR, as Joan Crawford put it, “I’ve been in this rodeo before so don’t f**k with me boys.”

    PA’s little diversion was transparent and, let’s face it, the woman isn’t all that bright. She said it like it was the first time anyone heard it. The rest of us have heard it a million times before, it was nothing new to us. It was ugly to watch and I was embarrassed for her. It was bad enough prescription abuse she should’ve gone to rehab.

    Personally, I’d be so ashamed I’d be hiding for the rest of my life. It’s all caught on tape and I mean dozens of times. Just think if your dress fell off at your high school prom, would you ever live it down?
