JENNIFER Lopez told her husband to buy her a “really good” gift to celebrate their first wedding anniversary.

The singer/actress — who married crooner Marc Anthony, the father of her twins Max and Emme, in 2004 — says she loves getting lavish presents to mark a special occasion..

“On our first wedding anniversary I told Marc, ‘You better get me a gift that’s really good, really great, because it’s a bit step for me to be married a whole year’,” Lopez said. “And he did. I’m big into accessories and I love diamonds, so he got me a beautiful, magnificent 14-carat blue diamond ring. It’s an heirloom and it’s gorgeous.

“He’s given me many, many gifts since then, but that ring he gave me to celebrate that we’d made it to the first year mark is the favorite piece of jewelery I own.”

“It takes work to keep the romance in a marriage,” Lopez added.

“One of the things some women forget first when they have a family is their relationship with their husband. And that takes some concentration.

“I’m always asking myself, ‘What did I do for our relationship today? Did I wake him up this morning? Did I make him a cup of coffee? Did I do something nice for him? Did I tell him I love him?

“All those things are so easy to forget to do, but they’re so essential because the relationship between a couple is one of the most important ones in the family.”
