Taylor Lautner Won’t Settle Lawsuit With Push-Up Contest

Posted by Adam

Taylor LautnerTAYLOR Lautner won’t be settling his lawsuit against a trailer company with a push-up contest.

The Twilight star — who filed suit against McMahon’s RV last month, claiming the firm failed to deliver a vehicle for use on the set of his new movie Abduction on time — has hit out at company owner Brent McMahon for suggesting the teen should settle the dispute with a push-up contest.

McMahon said he’d hand over $40,000 to Lautner if the actor won the challenge — but would give the cash to charity if he failed.

But Lautner’s lawyer has rejected the proposal.

“McMahon RV’s response to our client’s legitimate claim further demonstrates the lack of professionalism that Mr. McMahon, his company, and his employees have exhibited from the outset, and that compelled the filing of this lawsuit in the first place,” said attorney Robert Berta.

However, Barta said Lautner did “welcome the opportunity for him to resolve the matter by making a $40,000 donation to the charity of Mr. Lautner’s choice.”

Despite the lawsuit, Taylor recently insisted that despite his fame, he’s still humble.

“The thing I love is that my home life hasn’t changed,” he told GQ magazine in its July issue.

“I still help out with the garbage. I still help out with the lawn.

“There’s some things you just have to live with.

“Like 12 cars camping outside your house, and when you wake up in the morning, they’re going to follow you wherever you go. It helps that I live in Valencia. It eliminates some. But they’re still here.”

I love Taylor Lautner as jacob but sueing somebody because they didn’t deliver something you bought on time that is rediculous. What are you going to sue Pizza Hut if they don’t deliver your pizza on time and its cold.If your letting small little things like this affect you now what are you going to do when something big happens.

WHY DO YOU THINK TAYLOR IS BEING RIDICULOUS? JUST BECAUSE HE HAS A LOT OF MONEY, FAMOUS AND YOUNG DOESN’T MEAN HE SHOULD BE TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF. WHY DOES HE HAVE LESS RIGHTS THAN ANYONE ELSE? HE IS NOT SUING FOR ANYTHING RIDICULOUS. THIS TRAILER WAS TO SERVE AS HIS HOME, A DRIVABLE HOME AND IT SHOULD BE SAFE, SOMEWHAT COMFORTABLE AND IT WILL SERVE HIM FOR AT LEAST THE NEXT TWO YEARS. THAT IS NOT BEING RIDICULOUS, THAT IS BEING PRACTICAL AND RESPONSIBLE. YEAH, HE IS GOING TO SPEND FAIRLY NEWLY ACQUIRED WEALTH LIKE ANYONE ELSE WHO WOULD WIN THE LOTTERY, FOR NOW. HE IS GOING TO SPEND IT ON FOOLISH THINGS, THEN PERHAPS DO SOMETHING LIKE BRAD PITT OR GEORGE CLOONEY. THE SO CALLED FANS WHOM SAY THEY LOVE AND THEN THEY BASH HIM LIKE THIS SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF THEMSELVES. IF YOU TRULY LOVE HIM THEN STICK BY HIM AND STOP JUDGING HIM, YOU DON’T KNOW THE WHOLE STORY. TAYLOR, IF YOU SEE THIS, STICK BY YOUR PRINCIPLES AND DON’T BE TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF, WAY TO GO!!

I read somewhere that TLs dad was having trouble with the local authorities, or the mayor, something like that, on the set of Abduction. I dont follow TL, so dont quote me.

Maybe his dad pushed for the lawsuit though.

LIKE HELL HE IS A NARCISSIST, PUNK OR WHATEVER OTHER STUPID PHRASE YOU COME UP WITH. YOU WOULD PROBABLY DO THE SAME THING IF YOU DIDN’T RECEIVE YOUR CAR OR OTHE BIG TICKET ITEM ON TIME, AND SUE FOR A HELL OF LOT MORE THEN HE IS. HE IS DOESN’T HAVE TO JUSTIFY HIMSELF TO PEOPLE LIKE TO YOU.

I’m team Edward but I for one don’t blame Taylor for suing McMahon RV’s for their ridicules ploy to get free advertising for their trailers…They signed a contract and they didn’t honor it…I am tired of people saying they are doing this and that and not delivering their services…This by the way was not a cheap trailer so where do they get off trying to settle with a pushup contest what nerve…I say you go Taylor stand up for your rights like everyone else would.

The kid is being smart. He’s doing the right thing. He paid $300,000. The company signed a contract agreeing to fix the RV and deliver it on the needed date, and they didn’t follow up with it. They probably used up the money on something else cause the RV was still in bad shape when they delivered it. This ain’t no small thing yo’, it’s huge. I’d sue them too.
