The actor — who stars in the brilliant, very funny new movie Dinner for Schmucks — says his comedic turns have given people the false impression that he’s good for laughs in real life.

“I do get that a lot,” says Steve. “People expect you to be funny. The truth is I’m not a wizard at cocktail conversation.

“I don’t normally light up a room with my wit and sense of humor despite what some people might think.”

Steve, 48, recently admitted he doesn’t understand why people are interested in him because he thinks he is “ordinary”.

“I don’t know how other people perceive the lives of actors but mine is fairly ordinary,” he said.

“I go to work, I come home, I put my kids to bed. If I’m home in time for dinner, I have dinner and then it’s bedtime.”

    He does not know that he is amazing?! Thats common…people dont always see how special they are. I love you Steve!!!! Even though you may not be a wizard with people in real life, you still have the gift that makes me and others light up.

      I would watch anything with steve until I saw all the videos on funny or die and seen that he is an asshole with no sense of humor at all.
